The pokey that comes with your test kit is a toy. Very painful to pop, and pop, and pop again to get a drop of blood to test.These, one mild pop gives the needed drop to know my blood sugar levels.

I’ve used these 17g 2mm depth high flow lancet for a while now. Normally I would get these via McKesson or a medical site. I stupidly thought I could get these on Amazon while I was ordering other things… ya know, one stop shopping. Well they put them in a bag. So half are dumped loosely and the other half were in box. I guess when I do my son’s labs, I’ll find out which are duds cuz I’m sure the loose ones have damage. I think next time I’ll order it elsewhere.I need high/max flow as my son gets his serum sodium levels checked via the istat analyzer since he has diabetes insipidus ( now called arginine vasopressin deficiency or AVP-D). Ideally a 17 or 18g 2.2-2.4 mm would work better but I'm unable to get that in a home setting). These are NOT to test for SUGAR diabetes.
