Good for beginners
All poses are for designed to allow you to sit or stand. I like that the colors delineate calm, energy, ect.

A must have
This handy book is amazing, I am getting so much out of it, the diagrams and discriptions are practical and easy to follow and easy classification of the practices and the Practice sequence are so helpful. I am loving doing the Lift Energy Sequence during my work day. I can not recommend this more highly for anyone who has a desk bound job and for those forever longing to get into yoga. Also compact and fits in my handback so easy to have on hand.

Not what I thought
It would have been helpful to have been able to see what exactly was in the deck. Overall this is ok. I may use a few of the “exercises “ but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this. Not for me.

Practical and simple tool featuring ALL yoga bodies!
The Trauma-Informed Yoga Card Deck by Joanne Spence is far from overwhelming. I consider it a new favorite resource as it is a simple yet practical tool. The layout is spiral bound so your cards do not get lost, and it fits easily in a bag for toting to class, taking on a trip, or setting on the corner of your desk. There are practices to help you feel calm, energized, and balanced, and some to guide you in meditation. While you could move between the cards to create a sequence, you can also simply open up the deck and use it for centering before your next meeting or gathering. The simple instructions are - simple! And my favorite part of this mini-book is by far the photos. There are real people with real bodies of all shapes, sizes, skin tones, and seasons of life featured in these practices. It’s a delight to see ALL kinds of bodies practicing yoga. There is not one kind of a yoga body, we all have yoga bodies.Joanne has created a lovely resource for students who may be new to yoga or who need a reminder of the benefits of practicing, but also for teachers who want a practical companion to lead from. It's a great little tool for your toolkit!

anyone, anywhere, anytime
I've been keeping this gem of a book handy for the past several months to reach for like a healthy snack when my body calls for it. As a relative newcomer to yoga in my early 60s, I find the clear instructions, photos, color-coding of potential effects, and especially the practice sequences tremendously helpful. This resource enables me to take a few sips of yoga, as it were, anytime, anywhere, as often as I'd like. Of all the purported self-care tools out there for sale in the world, this one is the real deal. I love it.
