Works well, bargain, easy set-up
I bought this to replace an old Photoflex softbox. It has worked well on my first uses. From reading reviews, I thought I would need a two-foot pipe wrench to click the rods in place. Not so, it took perhaps five pounds of force to set a rod. This is much, much easier to set up than old-school softboxes with four rods. I prefer this type over the umbrella folding type since it leaves the middle of the box unobstructed, though it might take a few seconds longer to set up.The inner and outer diffusers are easily attached by velcro, and the inner diffuser has an extra layer of fabric in the center, presumably to even-out the light. Egg-crate is also attached by velcro and fits well. The case is surprisingly OK, given most of these products skimp on them.Using this with a 500W Nanlite at 50% power, with both diffusers and the egg-crate installed, I get 100 foot-candles at 1 meter on axis. (Of course, you will get more light if you take off the egg-crate and inner diffuser - which might be fine for a general key light)Remember the rule of thumb that you should be as far from the subject as the size of the softbox if you want soft light.

Effortless and High-Quality Lighting: The Neewer 47.2" Parabolic Softbox
I recently purchased the Neewer 47.2" Parabolic Softbox, and it has significantly improved my photography setup. This softbox offers a quick setup and folding mechanism, making it incredibly convenient to use. The parabolic design ensures even and soft lighting, perfect for portrait and product photography. It comes with diffusers and a honeycomb grid, which allow for greater control over light diffusion and direction.Compatibility with Bowens mount lights, such as the Aputure 120d and Godox SL60W, adds to its versatility. The build quality is impressive, and the included carrying bag makes transportation easy. Despite its large size, the softbox is surprisingly lightweight and portable.Overall, the Neewer 47.2" Parabolic Softbox is a fantastic addition to any photographer's toolkit, providing professional-level lighting with ease of use and excellent build quality.

Works great and it’s easy to travel with.
Love it and is perfect for traveling! I have a bigger soft box but was looking for something that will deliver the same effect while I am out and about. The big one works great and the light is amazing but it takes a lot of time to put it together. This one is quick and gives me the effect that I need. Highly recommend it for outdoor photography.

Exactly What we Needed.
Perfect softbox for the type of filming we do. Big enough to get the right lighting effect, but easy enough to pack up and transport.

Extremely quick set up
As a wedding photographer, it’s essential for me to work quickly and on the go. I’ve used other soft boxes that took forever to set up and tear down but this one has been a life saver! It’s a good sturdy quality that’s lasted me years now. It can fold up nice and stores right easily and comes with a case that protects from wear and tear. Overall it’s been my favorite soft box I’ve owned! And at a better price range than similar Aperture brands!

Solid Product, but not Perfect
The support rod design isn't the greatest... For the larger soft boxes, like this one, you can really struggle to get the box expanded and locked in place. Maybe over time and regular use it will get easier, but my first effort to open the 47inch was anything but quick and easy as the support rods can be tricky. You can't lean into open the box and push the rods to the floor, so you have to open it the opposite way by pulling the rods upward to lock them in place. The first few are easy, but the last few I struggled. So this is obviously going to be a box that stays in the home studio instead of traveling with me to location shoots. It's not horrible by any means, in fact it is durable af, but I think the inner bracket like you find with Paul C. Buff soft boxes is a better design (for larger boxes anyway) than the support rod outer brackets. My opinion of course.

Perfect Softbox!
I've used a few softboxes but I really like this quick release softbox from Neewer. The spokes are already pre-assembled so there isn't any fiddling in assembly. All you have to do is press the spokes down and they automatically lock in place. When you're done, all you have to do is push the tabs along the bowens mount and the softbox collapses in seconds. Highly recommend especially if you constantly disassemble your softbox. Also, the 26" is the perfect size! I originally got the 22" but felt it was just slightly too small. The 26" diameter soft box is not too small and not too large, it's just right!

Really beautiful lighting
Really beautiful lighting produced through this modifier. Good build quality, easy to assemble (just have to pop each rod on the ring) also really good value.
