Selling On eBay: The Beginner's Guide For How To Sell On eBay

I must admit I am a bit of a packrat, but I have turned over a new leaf and am cleaning out my basement of things that I bought or was given that I don't use. A friend suggested that I sell these things on Ebay, everything from a telescope to ice skates. It was daunting when I first tried, but now that I have read this it has made the whole process so much easier. It is a straight forward book and covers things that would have taken me hours to figure out on my own. So glad I found this book.

I, like many people, have collected too many things that we have trouble throwing away, but would like to cash-in. The prospect of selling on eBay was a "black box" area that kept me from being willing to be anything other than a buyer. Now, after reading this nice, short "book", I feel knowledgeable enough to jump into the seller role. I didn't expect more than an introduction into selling as the title clearly says "The Beginner's Guide". That's what I needed and this easy-to-read book delivered enough understanding to give me confidence to try my hand at eBay selling.

Being a new seller, I only wanted some direction to get started. I had to skip over a lot of info to get to the proper section, but it got me headed me in the right direction. Most of the info I needed was gathered from actually dealing with Ebay. I made one call to iron out a detail on the ad and the rest was fairly easy.

Having never placed a bid on eBay or not knowing much about eBay, period, I found it extremely detailed. I read it once and I plan to read it again while taking notes and navigating through eBay. The title reads that it's a beginner's guide, and that's exactly what it is. If I were to need more information, I will get a more advanced book. I found it very easy to read and to the point. Very helpful.

This book doesn't really answer any questions other than what most people know already. For example: the author says that most sellers only accept payment through Pay Pal but doesn't give enough details about how Pay Pal works. This book falls short of expectation.

This book really is for people thinking about selling/buying on e-bay. A primmer. But still had some good ideas and info for those who have recently just begun to sell. Good luck!!

It was a quick read, but I didn't feel like I was any more ready to start selling after I read it then I was before

I really don't know why I bothered - but to be fair perhaps it was partly my fault for searching for more guidance on what is perhaps fairly obvious anyway...

A short easy quick read on the subject . Helpful for a beginner to get a brief understanding on what E Bay is about.

Cannot believe I paid £11+ to have this 'book' delivered. A5, 50 pages, very thin on content, no pictures, no screengrabs. Pitched at American audience ($ and cents and US Ebay settings), yet on sale in UK. Looks like its been typed at home and taken to the local printers for binding. Very homemade, but not in a good way. Avoid.

Not as good as I would have liked. You can tell it's American. No good if you are a real novice.

Very useful book. lists all the do's and don't of selling on e-bay. Yet to start but gives confidence to the beginner.
