Datrek Go Lite

This is the third Datrek golf bag I have purchased and if it is as good a quality as the previous two, I am sure the person I am gifting it to will enjoy it for years. I purchased this one because it combines the quality of a cart bag with the lightness and stand of a carry bag. Best feature however is the individual tubes making it easier to organize the clubs and keep them in place. I especially admired the patriot colors - red, white, and blue in the selection I picked out.

Couldn't beat the price of this bag for a 14way. saw a couple bad reviews but this is working out so far so good with 2 rounds under my belt.

Overall very decent stand bag. Pros: Price is great given the features included. Lightweight. Good construction, sturdy zippers and pockets. Stand mechanism works really well. Lined top pocket. Cooler compartment. Cons: The dividers are not all the way to the bottom even though it’s described as full length. The grips eventually touch and get in the way of each other at the bottom. The straps squeak where the round plastic clips attach.

This bag is said to have 11 zipper pockets. It only has 6. The newer version of the bag indicates 6 zipper pockets. Was I sent the wrong bag? This bag also does not fit well on my non-Bag Boy golf cart. It doesn't sit at the bottom and it doesn't sit in the saddle at the top.

I wanted a hybrid stand bag that would work well on a powered cart only golf course - this fits the bill nicely! The stand function works very well so far, and it is quite easy to carry with the strap system. It is quite light, it has individual slots for all clubs (and they work well), and has sufficient storage (I wouldn't say ample, but enough). The zippers work extremely well (which was the big issue with the bag this replaces). And it works well on a powered cart. You can remove the straps so they aren't in your way on the cart, but even with them on, it isn't bothersome to me to just move them out of the way of the pocket you want to get into. The only con, but it isn't too bad to me is that the driver club slot can get tight if the bag is strapped on the powered cart too hard, or you over stuff the large pockets on the top of the bag (insulated pocket and probably golfball pocket). This can make it hard to get the driver all the way down, so I just make sure neither of those things happen and all is well.

This bag is pretty light and pretty good construction for the price. The rain cover seam looked to be fraying. Datrek customer service was very responsive and immediately shipped a replacement

Good quality, zippers all work well. The club divisions go all the way down, so the clubs don't get tangled up below. Sufficient pockets.

It is a sleek bag with some decent features but It has some issues. The cooler bag is only able to keep things marginally cold but that's to be expected in heavy heat. The big issue is that I've had the bag less than a year with golfing less than twice a month and the strap attachment broke. The strap attachments are proprietary and won't allow for another strap to attach. It is a huge bummer because this would be a great carry bag but it is not possible if the strap attachments break.
