Great Gaming Laptop for beginners
Easily one of the best purchases I've made, I've been using this laptop for more than a year and still manage to do everything perfect, I upgraded the ram and the RTX 3050 that includes is great for gaming even at high graphics, yes it gets hot and it gets loud but it is a laptop so it's no surprising, the performance is great, the materials of the device might not be the most premium but they are durable, Acer does a great job with their products as usual

Review after 2 weeks
at $950 I had to take the chance on this laptop despite some of the reviews being bad. If you're considering this laptop my guess is you're like me in that you dont want to build a pc yourself for whatever reason. I would say this was a fair purchase but if you can wait, i'd say save up a bit more and get a pc built for yourself at microcenter or something. I have played many games and all of them can be played on at least medium settings with no lag. That would include cyberpunk 2077 to give you an idea. I really only have one problem with the laptop and it makes it a bad long term investment. From fully charged, i can only game for maybe 50 minutes. Cant even reach an hour. If that sounds unpleasant to you then pass on this. Otherwise it serves its purpose for me in playing all the games I couldn't on my previous laptop.Months later and I am still pleased with the laptop. It acts a bit different from when I got it. Before I would only play games without it being plugged in and so I could only play for an hour before I turned it off to charge. In that state I could play most high end games on medium settings with no lag. That is no longer the case. Now I lag on the lowest settings on these games and even games I feel should not lag at all. But this is only while unplugged. While it is charging I can play any game I want on high settings and on some older games the highest settings. I play cyberpunk 2077 on high but that's cause I don't care to push the limits. This laptop can run anything care free while plugged but I just here to play in that state. I looked online and apparently that's normal for gaming laptops, they utilize all their strength when plugged and it's no problem playing in that state. But I'd hate for the battery to die sooner by doing that so I play a game called nioh while unplugged since it can handle it. And I play assassin's Creed origins on the highest settings while plugged and charging up. I try not to play for long past the point it's fully charged. So this is my experience, I say it was money well spent.

My son's birthday
I got this for my son's 16th birthday. He's into gaming, both playing and designing. I didn't have thousands to spend on a gaming laptop, but I was able to afford this one. The best part is, it's number one in every metric online when compared to other lower priced gaming laptops. It's said to be the best one you can get off you're on a budget. And they weren't wrong. It has everything he needs/wanted. The graphics are perfect for all his games, and it doesn't lag/glitch/load slow for anything he's played so far. So everything he's done has been smooth and crisp. It has an SSD drive so load times are milliseconds, the only thing I'd that there's only 8 gbs of ram, but there is a slot and we plan on doubling it, so no actual problem. It has windows 11, which I'm sure is good for something, and it has met and exceeded everything he's needed or wanted from it. This is a great buy, at a reasonable price, especially if you want a real gaming laptop. If you're looking at another one, I'm telling you, you'll regret not getting this one. Truly the best one in it's price range.

great hardware for the price.
it delivers great performance at gaming.but when i turn it on the first time windows dint work, if i don't go into setup and set the right boot sequence it wont boot up normally any other customer would have to look for help to male the laptop to work, so the laptop is great no problems at all but i got that issue at at the first time booting.

Great price for what you get......easy to add some upgrades too
This is an amazing laptop for what you pay. The RTX 3050 is pretty dang capable and the 12th gen I5 processor is better than the 11th gen I7. There is a caveat that come with the price. First, it only comes with 1 stick of 8 gig RAM. This is pretty much the bare minimum that you can get away with for windows 11. Windows ran and I could even play a few games, but performance is throttled because the memory will be maxed out. There's an extra DIMM to add memory. I would recommend that you buy at least one 8 gig stick of Crucial (this brand is approved to work with Acer) memory (DDR4 3200MHz CL22) and add it to the empty DIMM. It should be pretty cheap. I bought 2 sticks of 16 gig (32 total) for $70 and it's running quick and smooth. Accessing the motherboard to replace the memory was probably one of the easiest laptops I have ever done. I'm also going to replace the M.2 drive with a Crucial T500 1Tb drive. The one it comes with is 500 gigs and the one I'm buying has a faster read/write speed but the drive it comes with is capable. Also, there's 2 M.2 slots to use.

Good Laptop for the price
I have had this laptop since Christmas of 2023. I like it very much and now use it more over than my other computers. I also take it when I travel. I game on Second Life and have no issues with the gaming site when it comes down to performance or login. That huge for me. So far it have served me well.
