First Aid for the Basic Sciences, General Principles, Second Edition (First Aid Series)

This definitely was a big help during my most recent module in medical school. Surprisingly, the chapter in the book followed along with the course nicely and was a thorough and concise read. I read this to supplement along with the power points that were provided to our class and took notes in the margins of the book so that they will be there when I come back to review for Step I. Definitely a great purchase!

Very easy to read and comprehensive. Currently using it in conjunction with medical school lectires. Good review for key material but not as detailed as a textbook by no means.

This is one of the best books I purchased online, it is written very clearly and has lots of pictures and colourful diagrams. Sometimes it is a little repetitive but overall it is an excellent book.

There are definitely some chapters that are better than others, and this book does not directly follow along with the First Aid STEP 1 review book, but it is a good source of information for exam studying.

FA Basic Science is perfect!!!! Whenever i want to review some hystology, micro, etc.... it's the one to check. If your FA for the USMLE Step 1 may lack something for background review, you'll find it here.

Great book. Minor errors compared to other review books. The tables and figures are invaluable. I would recommend it to any medical/dental student.

This book appears to have the general principles of the basic sciences in a format that I can manage and learn from. I would recommend it to others.
