Great choice for NAS
I set these up as a mirrored pair in a ZFS pool. After 6 months one of the drives is experiencing read/write errors. Trying to make a warranty claim but Amazon have referred me to Gigastone who are not replying to emails. So 3 stars as the other drive is working and I might just be unlucky. Will update when/if Gigastone reply. UPDATE: Gigastone replied and rightly asked for more diagnostics. This prompted me to change the USB SATA adapter and now the drive is working fine. So back to 5 stars as these drives seem to be doing a good job. So the lesson is if you think these are faulty then check on different hardware.

Really needed in NAS/server environments where there is continual use
You might think that all SSDs are created equal. They're not - some very popular slightly cheaper models (looking at you Kingston) can really slow down when under continuous load. Had a small Window server running with dual-SSDs in RAID-1, performance was awful. Replaced with these Gigastone drives and speed is consistently fast.

Gigastone Home Server SSD 2TB NAS SSD Drive Cache (2-Pack)
I bought these for my Network Attached Storage device (NAS) as they are enterprise drives and the best type to install for NAS use. Although my NAS device does not have these on a compatibility list, I read in another review that they would be fine and they are more than fine. This drive upgrade has completely altered the use and the way my NAS device works. The old hard drives after some 10 years of use were getting sluggish (slow), to the degree that I was struggling to login to the NAS before it timed me out. Changing for these, as they are both SSD and Enterprise drives, has tranformed the NAS device completely. It now works seemlessly and with real speed, these are quick drives making an old 12-15 year old device work like its brand new. It also gave me an opportunity to look at the way I was using the NAS device and setup everything a little differently to match the way that I do things now and probably will do in the future. This is an old Synolgy NAS device, Gigastone Enterprise drives work in them really well despite them not being on the compatibility list. Excellent.

Drives can't detect the drives bois foreign characters
i have given four stars due drive has been shipped & pre-formatted eFat with and with foreign characters as disk labels found servers will not detect the drives, will hang server on post boot-up quick fix delete a partition on a desktop & format the drive pop in back in to server working well

Does the job. Cheap, cheerful and works first time. Can't ask for more. Speeds are close to advertised on crystal disk. Will order more for sure

Three of these failed within days of installing
Quality control on these must be very poor. Ordered 1, failed within 2 days, replacement also failed within 1 day. Ordered another one recently, it also failed within 1 day. Would not use these again, lost a lot of data as well.

Bon ce n'est pas le dernier cri du SSD, mais il fonctionne très bien, RAS, mon vieux laptop Celeron N3330 qui était poussif à fond avec son disque dur classique, revit clairement maintenant ! Avant : - boot Windows 10 : 4 minutes Après : - boot Windows 10 : 15 secondes Dans la durée je ne sais pas, mais on retrouve cette combinaison de contrôleur + puce nand (SW2259XT + 29F02T2ANCTJI) pour des produits d'autres marque garanti 3 ans. Pour un laptop d'appoint (ludique, pour les vacances, etc), fait le job avec un très bon rapport perf/capacité/prix. Boitier fin donc peu s'installer dans n'importe quel emplacement 2".

Uno de los dos discos no funciono correctamente, me borro los datos al intentar clonar otro SSD y no deja formatearlo. Mucho cuidado.

La instalación cómo disco principal para que el sistema operativo estuviera en el completamente bien. Al estar usando un disco duro normal (HDD) la comparación de velocidad es inigualable. Compre una de 256Gb suficiente para el sistema operativo paqueteria de Office y Adobe, pero ya para guardar la información de archivos combiene tener otro disco duro.

No son válidos para NAS. Han durado exactamente 200 dias. Han dejado de funcionar los dos y se ha perdido toda la informacion
