What is the relationship between dead zones, fish kills, starving manatees and economic growth?Economic growth is destroying the natural world (ecocide). Pursuit of economic growth, using *any* source of energy, will accelerate the ecocide.Economics must first, and in introductory texts, be situated in the broader context of Earth, social systems, and our environment.This text fails to situate economics within a broad ecological context. We need a text that is "post-growth."
