Saucony Women's Kilkenny XC4-W

Overall this seems to be a good shoe. I would reccomend it to a friend.I would consider it more of a track shoe though. It has a kleat-ridged type bottom and spots for spikes. It looks more like a tar track shoe than a cross country shoe. I bought them to run 5Ks around our perimeter which is gravel, powdery/grainy dirt, and rocks. Wouldn't reccomend them for that type of terrain. Soft dirt and grass paths would probably be okay.It is slightly smaller than true to size. For example, I ordered a 7.5 which I normally wear in tennis shoes and my toes were pushing the front of the shoe. My feet are pretty wide and the width fit very nicely. Sometimes I have to buy an 8 just to compensate for my width but this shoe was snug, not tight though, so it was good.Looks wise it a very cute shoe. I got many compliments from girl friends.The arch inside the shoe is there but not extreme. It came with pink and black laces so you could change them out. That was neat.Hope this helps you.

I ordered a pair of these two years ago when they came out in yellow and black and I fell in love with them. So, when I saw the lime green ones this year, yeah, had to have them. If you have never worn the Kilkennys from Saucony, you're missing out. They are perfect running or summer shoes. They are very, very lightweight, and the mesh on the sides make them really comfortable to wear when it's hot outside. They fit snug on your feet and you don't have to worry about running and them slipping on your feet.I have gotten tons of compliments on these and the older pair I have. These are my favorite shoes beyond compare and I'm not a runner at all. I love the grip that they have when you're outside working or walking and I love how light they are. The one area that they don't do very well on is on smooth tiles, they can slip a bit. Also, if you're ordering a pair, they do run a bit small I've noticed. I wear a size 6 and I ordered a 6.5 in my first pair and they were a bit snug. They did relax a bit and I still wear them. This year, I ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly. So, if you're ordering them, keep that in mind.

Daughter was just about to start Middle School Cross Country. All she's ever ran in before were Payless Shoe Source Champion shoes but I thought something more XC appropriate may be needed. But have your ever gone looking for kids'/girls' size 2.5 XC shoe/spikes? Pricey!Big revelation, see if she's finally at low end of women's shoe size. Since reviews, including Saucony's own description, said it ran small I thought a size 5 may work (conversion charts suggest Kid's 3.5→Women's 5.5).They worked great for her! She likes the colors (black doesn't look dirty easily, pink is girly but not overly so) and it matched her running shorts.Had no expectations on how she'd do in XC when she first signed up. She ended up consistently fourth fastest girl on her team (at most 10 girls). Was it her hard work or the shoes, who's to say...but they certainly didn't give her any issues during practices or meets. 😉 Didn't hurt the I got the pair for a great price ($13). No complaints!This pair are not XC spikes but Saucony has a version just like it.

I am glad I made this purchase. I could not figure out what to get a family member for her birthday. Then, I saw these. She is a pretty active individual....but also quite stylish! These covered both basis. So much so, I purchased a pair for myself. I have them on right now! I wish I could get them again at the same price point. But, because they are so comfortable and stylish, I would pay regular (market) price for them.Only downside is they do run a bit small. Order a half size up.

They arrived very quickly and was surprised at the light weight of these shoes. Manufacturers often boasts of their shoes being light, these didn't lie. I usually wear size 10 and go up in my running shoes taking my socks into consideration I ordered a 10.5, even tried these on without socks and my toes were right up against the shoes. Knew if I even tried to run I would end up with sore feet. Made my feet look very neat but, can't comment on how they feel running as I immediately returned them for a larger size (when they reach, will comment on feel and performance on the road).

These run much tighter than all 4 other pairs of Saucony sneakers that I own. (I love all my other Sauchony sneakers. It is hard for me to find comfortable shoes due to the shape of my feet - I need somewhat square-toed shoes, and Sauchony are usually awesome.) I am surprised that they would not have a similar fit, since one would think they would use the same foot mold for their sneakers. Also, the bottom of the sneaker feels "bumpy" on the feet from the bumpy bottom, and not smooth like my others. To better describe, they felt sort of like wearing cleats. I grant 2 stars for the look of them, since they are great looking sneakers. 3-star deduction for fit and feel. Too bad they are not like the others I own, so these are going back.

I really like these shoes, based on the other reviews I did size up a full size and they are perfect. I've been running in them for about 3 weeks and so far so good. Extremely lightweight and comfortable and I like the way they look too! I switched out the black laces for the pink ones that came with it and they look so cute!

I do love the light weight and the shoe overall. I usually wear size 6, had to return and ordered 6.5; probably still could have gone with a size 7. The tongue at the top of the shoe bothered me and I had to repair myself by cutting a piece of it. I wish they made it in white! So comfortable and recommend to everyone~~
