It's ok, though I feel it's not very complete
I liked the separation for the amount of time to spendBut felt that they could have included more ideas for each.It felt a bit rushed and incomplete.

Not keen but well-edited with nice photos
I usually really like Lonely Planet books but I was a bit disappointed with this.It still has the quality I'd expect - well edited with full glossy pictures, which I really enjoyed looking at. Where it was giving locations and wonderful sights, I was really enjoying it but then I found myself getting annoyed. It's a bit preachy and elitist and certainly wouldn't suit people over a certain age. There are things listed that you should do that I could never possibly be able to afford - that I'm too old to for now or just have no interest in.I was expecting this to be more like "sights to see in your lifetime" rather than, "things you should do in your lifetime" that most people won't be able to do. Not for me this one.

Lonely Planet You Only Live Once – Great Inspiration Book Suitable for Different Lengths of Time
This Lonely Planet guide provides inspiration for travel experiences and splits them down into five chapters which cover experiences that take an hour, a day, a week, a month or a year. I really like the breakdown into time periods and the book has a modern, easy to digest layout with beautiful photographs. It has a clear contents page and is easy to navigate with easy to read, clear print. The book is a hardback and measures 20.19cm x 24.77cm with a thickness of 2.86cm so is relatively large and therefore not ideal for travelling with, instead this is the perfect coffee table book. One small niggle is that it doesn’t have a paper cover to protect it so it may become scuffed over time. The book has 288 pages with over 250 ideas for making the most of your spare time, with small adventures included as well as big ones. It has fun suggestions from exploring food and sights to undertaking activities that are exhilarating or calming and also takes advice from local guides. At the time of writing this book is £18.39 and is a lovely present for a keen explorer or as a gift for yourself! As a guide it gives great inspiration and I would highly recommend it if you are stuck for ideas – a lovely book.
