I bought this device to work on tight calves and hamstrings. It has been very effective for that purpose. I have used it on both bare skin and over clothing. Due to the hard plastic nature of this device, some may find it better to use it over clothed skin when they first start and, as they acclimatise to the sensation, begin using it on bare skin. I, however, was able to use it on bare skin immediately. It did not catch on the hairs on my legs when used on bare skin. The quality of this device is very good. It rolls easily with no apparent excess friction between the rollers and the central spindle. It is a good length — neither too long nor too short. Using it on the back — I don’t really see it. You would have to be some kind of contortionist to use a massage stick for this purpose. I would think that a foam roller would be a more appropriate option for the back. As for use post-liposuction — while I have no direct experience with using it for this purpose, I strongly suspect that the hard plastic nature of the rollers would make it painful and possibly dangerous to use for this purpose. All in all, it is an excellent tool for relieving tight calves and hamstrings. I highly recommend it for this purpose.

Helpful device.

This product does the job and my husband uses this after the gym from heavy weightlifting. It is lightweight and long enough for reaching muscles and being used on large areas! It massages his calves nicely without having that pain-hard feel. The roller works great and the quality is nice for the price!

Very happy with this product

Purchased for sore muscles and fascia massage. It certainly helps roll out knots and general soreness. Been using on thighs to tighten and increase blood flow while also incorporating exercise. Easy to grip and roll. Haven't pinched myself yet! Plasticky feeling, but it gets the job done.

My legs hurt after workout even with adequate stretching this helps.
