This is a replacement for a different model of a different manufacturer. The last was cast aluminum and did not hold up well. So far so good with this one. It seems a bit pricey BUT if you want your mail secure to help stop identity theft —this is the box for you.

I purchased this specific mailbox because it was advertised as powder coated STAINLESS STEEL! In reality, it is galvanized steel with stainless hardware just like the rest of them. Big difference when living near salt water and salt air. If I knew they were going to mis advertise, I would not have purchased. Unfortunately, I need a mailbox since my last one rusted out. So I begrudgely need to keep. Will NOT purchase from this company again.
