This book has transformed teaching of mathematics. I am using it as a resource in my ESL work with refugee children who have not attended school. It is essential for all teachers of mathematics... I think parents would find it very useful, as well.

Strategies are explained in detail so you are able to help your students grow with efficiency and fluency.

This book is a framework for teachers or parents to help children verbalize their thinking when they solve math problems. As they share their solutions, it provides an opportunity for others to hear and see how someone else solved the problem differently. I have used this book while teaching math in a public school. My daughter and 2 of my granddaughters are current teachers. I have another granddaughter who is currently in her second year of college majoring in elementary education. I have purchased this book for each one of them.
