The box is LESS THAN 2 INCHES ACROSS< HIGH< AND DEEP! All of the people complaining about the size, it DOES say the dimensions and this is absolutely adorable for any Lego fan. I bought one of these for $3.70... All of that being said, I think it is super cool, very small but super cool. It is actual Lego brand if anyone was concerned about that, it comes in an Official Lego wrap style packaging. And it is the perfect size for a kid to put a favorite minifig in there with a favorite accessory. Its really cool, seems to stay shut just the right amount, like it won't be hard for my son to open and I will be buying a few more of these, they would make fantastic stocking stuffers, possible throw in one of the individual figs you can get from anywhere for around $4 in the little box and it will be a real surprise for kids-for not a lot of money. This is one of those things that seems sort of over priced to adults but that is so awesome for kids. I personally am going to come back and buy the different sizes, maybe one of each size for each of my 3 boys.

I LOVE Lego...I'm a true fanatic. These are very cute little boxes. I knew they were small so that did not bother me. Right now it's just another toy for my 16 month old because he loved to open and close it so much I didn't want to take it away...I intended to use if for paper clips at work or something. Anyway, the only thing I don't like about it is that the bottom is not indented like a normal Lego block. I'm sure this is due to the fact it's meant to hold things and thus better without small indentions in the bottom, but I personally wanted them to nest together. Still, I do like it a lot and would recommend it as long as you know that they do not nest and the dimensions of the small box (listed 3.6 x 1.6 x 1.7 inches). Hope some of that helps!

To those who complain about the size - READ the product description! It clearly says it's just shy of 2" square. In terms of volume it holds slightly less than 1/4 cup. Which is a perfect serving size for nuts, dried fruit, hummus, or cheese .... okay, I use the mini box 8 for cheese because I eat far too much of it, lol .... but this mini box 4 is a healthier size. It's also a perfect size for a dip for veggies, or salsa.It closes fairly securely but does not latch shut in any way, so you can't just toss it into a backpack willy-nilly. Also it doesn't seal, so if the contents are liquidy - like a sauce or salsa - then it needs to remain upright at all times. May take a little getting used to but not a problem if you're already used to bento-style containers.Overall - these are a fabulous Lego-branded bento containers. Or great container for anything small - would be FANTASTIC as a jewelry gift box!

"Two mini boxes will sit side-by-side in the LEGO lunchbox." That phrase sucked me in! I didn't see the dimensions of LESS than 2 inches. My fault for not examining carefully the description; however for the price . . . I would hope that the box would at least stay shut. You can't put it in anything that would allow the box to move around. As previously reviewers have stated, a few raisins, nuts, or small candy pieces.I purchased it to go into a LEGO themed gift basket for a raffle and couldn't use it because of the size - it got lost in the basket and looked ridiculous. It sits on my desk with paper clips in it - rather worthless.I gave it 3 stars because it's okay, I will be very careful reading descriptions in the future.

This is super cute; however, I thought it would be a lot bigger because it looks that way in the photos. The measurements say 1.5 inches, which is tiny! The entire box fits in the palm of your hand. I don't see what you can possibly put in the box, maybe a few nuts? Considering this is supposed to be a food container, it is quite small.

I figured for the price they would be at least the hair brushes size! Definitely misleading having the block in the picture with a human body as big as theirs hands and then some. I'm very unhappy

These blocks are not for storage. They are very cute. Bigger than normal legos and open to store something small like a ring or a note or maybe even candy for a party. Didn't fit my need but I would definitely use them for decorating a lego themed party or child's room.

This is way smaller then anticipated and doesn't actually fit anything in it...

Love that this is an authentic Lego product and it's the perfect size for some goldfish crackers or small chocolate on the side for a toddler. Note that they do not fit into the original/panino yumboxes though.

Good gift for little ones, can place a tiny gift inside. Smaller then I first thought, still pretty neat item. Recommended for the ones who appreciate LEGO
