Easy installation.
Easy to install. Did my two doors in about 15 minutes. I have a tight fit against wall-mounted storage units in my rental unit's garage. The edge guard really protects my car door edge from potential chipping. Great product.

Works well
I had my reservations about this edge guard, since it relies on the adhesive on it to be held in place but... so far so good. I wanted to put the truck through a couple of automated car wash cycles before writing a review. It survived and it is still holding on without any visible separation. It serves the purpose of protecting the edges of the door against possible contact with the wall. I park the vehicle in a narro spot, with the wall on the driver's side, so it is not uncommon that I need to have the door open until it makes contact with the wall. This guard protects it well and it is soft. Given my past experience with adhesives, I did not use the cleaning materials included with the kit. Instead, I first cleaned/washed the inside edge of the door thoroughly and then wiped it with a rag wet with alcohol. So far it is sticking well. My recommendation for the installation is to start from the top part of the door (the most visible spot) so the protector is well aligned for aesthetic purposes - in this way, the bottom cut does not have to be extremely exact. I also found that a good way of installing it was to peel about an inch of the adhesive strip cover and start pushing the guard over the door, while aligning and pressing with one hand and peeling with the other. Then run your fingers down, pressing on both sides of the guard to ensure that the adhesive tape on the inside edge of the door adheres completely. Doing all of the above in warmer weather also helps. In summary: thorough cleaning, warm weather, go slow and easy (pressing while peeling). One last comment: being made of a rubber-like material, makes this guard very flexible and easier to use on doors that are a bit thicker than average. I am ordering a second product for my GMC Acadia which couldn't use the rigid guards that are held just by pressure.

Not pleased long term.
Easy to apply & initially looks good. It is a little thick, requiring additional force when closing the door. Not pleased with appearance after several days as the trim holds dirt which is very visible on our white SUV. Removing & in search of another solution to protect door edge.

Poor qaulity produt
Product is wrinkled and the adhesive is cheap and barely sticks to the trim let alone a clean car door. Do not recommend as it does not lay flat and would fly off at highway speeds

Review is based on install and initial outcome.
I bought an adhesive based door liner because I've seen one's with a metal center have a tendency of rusting when exposed to water Review will be updated on a later date to see how it holds up to car washes, uv rays, and different climates. I'm sure the outcome may look tacky depending on what color your vehicle is, but my 2023 Subaru Forester is a dark gray and it doesn't look too bad. The installation process was really easy, just clean the surface and apply the adhesive side on the inside of the vehicle in small sections. The adhesive only comes on one side. I think this is to eliminate adhesive from seeping onto the exterior of the vehicle. Try not to stretch it as it will appear warped if you do. The product comes with sharp pliers to cut to size. Depending on your vehicles body style, you may need to cut the product at different angles. I made the mistake of cutting straight across and had to redo that door. The overall all time is about 5-10 minutes per door depending on how comfortable you are at diy-ing and how many mistakes you make. *** 1 year update *** Most of the doors held up fine against the elements and car washes. I wash my cars at home mostly with a pressure washer and foam cannon, but on occasion I go through touchless car washes. Only 1 door didn't hold up, but I'm pretty sure it was user error during installation. It was one of the ones that i over stretched slightly and it started to peel back little by little. I neglected to fix it in a timely manner and the adhesive fully cured. Please be extremely careful during initial installation. If you are not pleased with how it came out, take it off immediately before the adhesive cures. I made the mistake of not fixing it immediately. I finally decided to fix it and removal was a b**ch!!! After i spent like 30 minutes and only being through a few inches, I resorted to peeling off the door edge PPF to get the majority of the adhesive off. Then i used Goo Gone too break down the rest of the adhesive. It took multiple passes. Removal was way worse than installation. It took about an hour to get the adhesive off one door. That being said I urge you again to remove it immediately if unhappy with the way it turned out and redo the door. The product comes with enough materials to do 2-3 vehicle's. So don't be afraid to redo a door. If you think you will make several mistakes do the doors will bigger edges first. That way if you mess up, during the cutting process, you don't need to throw out the whole piece and possibly use it for a smaller panel. So I'm gonna bring it down from 5 stars to 4 stars because of how difficult removal was.
