Elemental Magnesium is 14.1 percent by molecular weight of total magnesium glycinate. The pack mentions 22%. How is this possible?

Hello Sir, Thank you for your questions. This product contains elevated magnesium Glycinate to make it upto 22%. To explain you in detail Magnesium Glycinate powder is typically manufactured by a controlled reaction of magnesium oxide (MgO) with glycine in an aqueous solution (outgassing oxygen as a byproduct), then drying and grinding the resulting precipitate. A chemically pure magnesium bisglycinate would contain roughly 14% magnesium, but because of residual moisture content, ingredient manufacturers cannot practically achieve this 14% level; instead, they typically guarantee no more than 10-11.3% elemental magnesium in their products. With such a low magnesium content, providing a meaningful serving size would take an exceedingly large number of capsules; customers would have to take 7-8 capsules at a time (at a much higher cost) to achieve the same level of magnesium supplementation as provided in our formulation. However we have not designed this product as a typical source of only magnesium Glycinate, but it does contain equal to what is already sold in the market to fulfil magnesium needs as well. Further, to better meet consumer’s need, ingredient manufacturers have long overformulated the MgO ratio in the reaction process; as a result, once all of the glycine has fully reacted with the MgO (two glycine molecules for every MgO molecule), the excess MgO remains in its original form, as a component of the material being dried and processed into the finished powder. By managing the ratios in this overformulation, targeted levels of 18-22%elemental magnesium can be achieved. Our magnesium Glycinate is imported and as per manufacturer it has settled on a final desired magnesium level in order to provide a manageable serving size for its customers in capsulation size of 1-2 capsules only. what is the percental of elemental magnesium glycinate?

Hello Mohammed, This formulation uses magnesium glycinate as the source of Magnesium. It has 22% of elemental magnesium in it. 550mg dosage of Magnesium glycinate per day is used for this formulation. Please let me know if you have more questions. Thanks and regards, Susan

Are the capsules coloured or transparent? Please provide option with transparent capsules, why have artificial colours even if permitted ?

Dear sir, Thank you for your question. Before the launch, we conducted an internal survey and a survey among our product users about the color of capsule, and mostly chose black > green > transparent. However with time we have also realised that there is no major significance of colouring these capsules except merely a marketing exercise. All the products launched after Calm & Relax such as Ultra Fadogia, TestoMAX, Pine Bark, Advanced Sea moss, Quercetin etc are with transparent capsules only. Once this lot of Calm & relax is over, we will be able to change capsules from Black to Transparent. Unfortunately right now it is not possible to provide transparent option. Meanwhile please rest assured, our capsules are natural veg capsules made with natural colours only! However we will work on your demand soon. Many thanks, Susan
