This is a fun kit to do with my 8 year old. My kid can do a decent amount of the experiments independently. Granted I can’t leave her alone to her own devices because of boiling water and such, but she can be the scientist without me having to hover over her. This is a cool kit and I plan to get the candy making kit too.

Got this for my 11 year old son and he loved making the candy. Instructions were simple to follow! Would definitely recommend, fun family time.

This is a really neat kit. It was a lot of fun for my granddaughter. The problem is that you have to buy things to go along with each thing you choose to do. It is not all inclusive at all. It can get kind of expensive and not very convenient.

So far my son and I love this. We only did one science experiment so far, but there is so much more to do. I didn't realize this had science experiments and so many activities. Much more than just making candy. Its educational and fun. Definitely worth the money.

Purchased this for our 11 year old grandson. For his age, he is surprising capable of reading and following directions and started do the food "experiments" successfully without it requiring an adult to be extensively involved. Main instances parent/adult need to oversee are the ones involving heating water on a stove. Nice that it seems to be designed so the child can be the doer, rather than watching an adult do it.
