Nushine Silver Plating Solution 150ml - permanently plate PURE SILVER onto worn silver, brass, copper and bronze (eco friendly formula)

I used this to re-plate the brass base of a trophy where some of the original silver had been stripped away while removing an old engraving. I was deeply skeptical that there was an alternative to electroplating, and assumed this would be a scam product I would have to return. I was amazed that it worked perfectly and very easily, producing a shiny silver surface in seconds. As described, the product initially blackens, and then the silver adheres to the metal as you keep rubbing. It is kind of miraculous. Shake the bottle well before use, I think the silver is in suspension somehow, and definitely wear gloves.

Results vary depending on the base metal. Stunning results on some items but disappointing on others (despite repeated applications).That said, it’s very easy to use. Lasts well and, if nothing else, makes a great silver polish!

Dries to a chrome finish, but loses it's Sheene over a short period of time. So I just keep applying it as needed.

Some of my costume jewellery has started looking worn and tired but rather than throw it out I thought I’d see if there was a way to revive it instead. I found this product and decided to give it a try as it said it was suitable for heavily worn areas. I’ll be honest, I didn’t hold out much hope for my charm bracelet as the base metal was showing through all the way along it but thought this was going to be a good test to see how the product would perform. Armed with a pair of latex gloves and a few balls of cotton wool (not supplied) I followed the easy to understand instructions on the side of the bottle on how to apply the product. My heart sank a little to start with as I couldn’t see much difference but after just a couple more applications I had a silver coloured bracelet again. I’m quite chuffed with my first attempt and as the photos show, it has really transformed the bracelet. Time will tell how durable it is but for now I am very happy with the results and would happily recommend this product.

I thought this was magical - I didn't know you could restore the silver to old items. I've used it on a 1920's silver coffee pot set and, although not perfect, they look 100% better than they did - with most of their silver restored. It does take a number of 'coatings' but after 3 I could start to see a real difference. i also used it on some silver earrings, and they've been restored to their previous glory.

Hasn't worked for some of the things. Took a lot of work to get anything near the result I was hoping for.

I used it on pure copper and it seems like the silver flakes off frustratingly easily. Not sure if it's sure to the over purity of the copper, it being mirror polished, or something else, maybe?
