Gilded Rosettes Journal (Diary, Notebook) Hardcover – July 24, 2017

I just recently got this notebook and it’s so beautiful. The details and the quality of it are great. Have been using it for journaling. Would get from this company again.

Such a nice journal

I purchased 3 notebooks to use for manuscript notes and planning. I spent an hour picking out which journals felt right for each project I wanted them for and was excited to see them arrive. They're far more beautiful than I anticipated. I absolutely adore them. The pages lay flat easily without the spine threatening to break or struggling against the bindings, the embellishments are intricate and vivid, and the gold-tipped pages are so pretty paired with the matching golden ribbon bookmarks. My only hang-up is the guilt I feel at having to actually write on the pages now, but that's a me issue. I love them so much, and they're more than affordable for the quality of product.

Nice journal. The gold isn't as bright as I thought it would be. It only looks like it does in the picture, under bright light. But overall it's beautiful. The cover is very sturdy. I like the paper. It is cream colored, and the lines are not harsh or dark. They are grey color. The lines are spaced nicely. Not really wide rule, but a little wider than college ruled paper. The weight of the paper is thick enough for a fountain pen. But a stic pen works the best and rolls nicely on this paper and nothing at all shows on the back of the page so you can write cleanly on both sides with a regular pen. The paper is smooth but not glossy. Just the right amount of slight texture. The gold gilding on the edges is beautiful. After a year of regular use of this journal the gilding rubs off wherever you handle it. But it gives it character. If you want the gilding to stay on, you would have to be very careful to only handle by the cover edges. Overall, I've enjoyed using this journal very much.

This journal is as amazing as all there other ones. Beautiful cover and pages, and very nice thick paper for journaling. I write on both sides and it doesn’t leak through.

Discovered this product in a high-end writing store and love this product. When I am not in the town the store is in, I get it here.

This is a beautiful journal. I ordered it not really looking at the design closely, just noticing that it was antique-looking and had rosettes on it. Well, when I took it out of the box the first thing I noticed was that it totally looks like a vagina. I got very excited about it and showed my roommate. When revealing a vagina-journal to a friend or loved one it’s important to get affirmation of your own perspective and not give it away... not only did I show off the beautiful journal, I posed the question in such a way to open the door for opportunity to put to rest what I noticed. Was it really a vagina on the cover of this journal or am I a 12 year-old boy living in the body of a 35 year-old woman? So I asked my roommate, “does this remind you of anything” and they said “yeah that’s a vagina.” There you have it. Beautiful notebook. Great gift for a feminist friend who likes stuff with vaginas on it, or a prudish uptight person you don’t like who insists they are morally superior to others. They can write about how the world has gone to hell in a handbasket and our society is obsessed with sex, inside of a book with an artistically-rendered cooter on it, and you can seek a type of quiet, hilarious revenge on them. Imagine that person walking around with this journal you gave them as a so-called peace offering, when in actuality you’re making them look like a poon-hound while they hold it to their chest, facing outward for an entire packed bus or subway full of people to see

I love Peter Pauper products. I've used their day planners for many years now. I didn't realize the company made journals until I found this. The designs are nothing short of exquisite and have a subtle, beautiful texture. This Gilded Roses design is my favorite. I've ordered it as a day planner in the past and am so glad to have it on this journal. The edges of the pages are gilded too.
