Bleeding Brakes Made Easy
Used to bleed front and rear Shimano XT brakes.PRO:Easy to follow instructions. All tools needed are supplied, this includes tools to remove the bleeding screws and bolts from the calipers. Open spanned tool has 8 and 7 and Allen wrench is a T10.Has all the needed adaptors, tubes, tube clamps, bleed funnel, gloves, two syringes and two 2 FL. OZ bottles of mineral oil. Also included are piston blocks.Enough to bleed front and rear brakes two times. I used one bottle and one syringe doing both brakes.Great price point. Would recommend.CON:Nothing to report here but will list a few items, which again is nothing bad.I used my own tools (8mm box end wrench and T10 nut driver) as I could get a better “bite” using them.Syringes are marked as single use. I guess you can reuse them but it is not recommended.

bleed ports in mud
As good as the Shimano or Park product in core usefulness. Perfect for the home mechanic for quarterly to bi yearly bleeds. Will certainly work for any frequency but if you're doing more buy the pro system...its just easier.

Works as it should, but short a Catch bottle as indicated in the directions.
Used the system to bleed my brakes and it worked well. It is designed to accomodate a number of brands, so it takes a little time to get all the proper pieces working in the right places and in the correct order. Not a knock, just a fact that their are a LOT of adapters, hoses, caliper blocks, etc. to go thru to discern which ones to use! Fortunately have a vernier caliper in .000 of an inch to measure the thread diameters, etc. to ensure the use of the correct adapters. The instructions show a "Catch bottle" but one isn't supplied. It DOES come with 2 syringes, so I just pullled one of the plungers back and used that to catch my air-bearing fluid when I compressed the pistons back into the caliper bodies. (Park Tool has a number of Professional videos on u-tube on how to use their unit) Yes, the adapters, etc. are made of plastic, not metal, but I didn't have any leaks or issues. My 2nd bleed went much faster than the 1st, after having gone thru the process. The instructions don't appear to deal with how to retract the pistons. I carefully used a Needle Nose pliers to squeeze then back into the calipers. It would be nice IF this came with a tapered wedge that you could force between the pucks from both sides to retract the pistons. Biggest challenge there is HOW to fit it in the supplied plastic box as it is FULL of stuff! Well worth the investment, just had to work out a few kinks, some of which were self-inflicted.

Great kit
Easy to use. The attachments are all good. I think the overall quality is great. The packaging for it’s even amazing. Good quality all around.

Nice lil setup for Shimano brakes
Works good for Shimano brake setups. Has a lil guide book. The case is crap but who cares it was cheap.

Wow, ya know that phrase about everything but the kitchen sink?
I have a number of bikes with hydraulic disc brakes now so I figured it was way past time to start learning how to bleed, purge, and fix them. After looking around a lot I decided to get this kit since it seemed to have everything that I needed, had good reviews and ratings, and was pretty cheap.Having just started using it I can't speak to using all of the parts for all of the different types of brakes but for the ones I have it does indeed have everything I need, including the mineral oil brake fluid. All pieces seem to be good quality and fit the threaded pieces just fine, good seals on the adapters, and a nice little box that stores everything. And this is pretty necessary since there are so many pieces to it.There is a small instruction sheet that comes with it and covers the basics of the different brake types, I wouldn't expect the directions to be tailored to every single brake type of course. So I did watch some Youtube videos for specific information on my particular brakes. So, highly recommended - at least from an amateur mechanic's standpoint and indeed it does seem to have everything but the kitchen sink!

NOT A BAD PRESENTATION READ WHAT I WROTE
Everything was packaged well.. and I’m sure it would have worked fine.. but unfortunately, I’m one of those who owns an off brand bike. I know most products are made for the generally more popular products that everyone has so if something is not as popular it most likely won’t work and that was the case with this but I liked how well it was packaged but unfortunately I just couldn’t use it. I might get something more popular or I might just switch to regular breaks I’m not sure yet or I might even get rid of my bike all together.

Gets the job done.
I installed the Zoom HB-876E brakes on my e-bike to upgrade from the single pull cable calipers. I trimmed down my brake hoses to size and I could tell I had air in the system by the feel. I am sure there are "nicer" kits out there, but this works an it works well. I once I found my adapters the bleeding process was a breeze, and everything seals up perfectly fine just lightly finger tight, so you don't have to twist the adapters down hard to make them seal and risk stripping the plastic threads off. It comes with an opaque plastic cup for the master cylinder so you can keep track of the level from anywhere, which is a nice touch. The I was able to bleed both front and rear with just one bottle. I can carry the other bottle and the adapters I need in my little took kit just in case.
