After searching for "100% cotton" and reading all the reviews here, I became aware that not all pads that are advertised as "100% cotton" are in fact 100% cotton. Buyer beware. But this pad is in fact all cotton, both the batting and the cover. Everything except the elastic that snugs it to the mattress.The pad is nicely quilted, well made, and the item was well packaged. This mattress pad is like the ones you could buy decades ago before polyester fill was even invented. It's not high and fluffy like the synthetics are, because cotton batting is more dense. However, it isn't skimpy and thin either. The batting appears to be about 3/4" thick and is covered with thin cotton fabric.After sleeping too hot and sweaty on my Tempurpedic mattress, I finally have a good mattress pad that alleviates that discomfort. This mattress pad is exactly what I was looking for.If you want 100% cotton, this one fills the bill. Highly recommended.

As soon as I washed it, all the cotton filling wadded up and stayed that way. Sleeping on this mattress pad is, effectively, sleeping on two sheets with 100+ golf-ball-sized wads of tissue paper in between them. The only positive thing I can say about it is that, due to the stitching pattern, the golf balls are somewhat evenly distributed. Thanks for that, Sleep Philosophy.

I had high hopes for this product since it was the only mattress pad I found made almost completely of cotton. Even though not all reviews were positive, I thought I'd give it a try. I washed it and found as another reviewer did, that the stuffing broke apart and made clumps within the stitched areas. I am returning it.

The item I received has no indication that it is from Sleep Philosophy. It arrived in a completely open bag with no packing slip and with an individual's address as a return address. It is NOT 100% cotton, but 100% polyester filling with 100% microfiber cover. I have filed a claim for a fraudulently-advertised product.

Huge disappointment. Decided to wash it prior to use – and the result is shocking. All lumps and clumps in between nice stitching. Washed it according to their care instructions, and did not even tumble dry it, just left it hanging to dry on its own. Could not find a way to contact a seller for refund, but this is a pure rip off. Unusable.

I searched high and lo for a mattress pad that is 100% cotton. This one was one of the few on Amazon that are advertised as being 100% cotton. Lo and behold, the pad arrives and the tags say it’s filled with 95% cotton and 5% “other.” The merchant should update the listing because it’s false advertising. Buyers who are looking for a 100% cotton pad: beware!

I ordered this because it was 100% cotton with only a little bit of spandex in the description. When I received it and checked the care instructions it listed 100% polyester! Very disappointed.

I've always been sensitive to synthetic fibers but after chemotherapy, I find them unbearable to sleep on. That's probably because night is the time your body heals and cells regenerate and inhaling polyester fibers is even MORE harmful. I am staying at a friend's and found myself very uncomfortable in the bed - despite having 100% organic cotton sheets, a cotton blanket and low-profile buckwheat pillows (I know I am high maintenance now). I put this mattress pad on my bed and IMMEDIATELY slept SO MUCH better and more soundly. There is a tiny bit of polyester - at least on my tag it just said it was in the sides - obviously, it is need for the stretch and shape, but I didn't notice it. My previous mattress pads were WAY more expensive so I feel like this is a steal.

This is the second one I purchase. The first one was for my queen bed. I have an all natural latex mattress and wanted a natural mattress cover that did not have chemical in it as it would defeat the purposes of my all natural and expensive mattress.The second one was for my son's twin bed. He is 11 years old and has not had a accident since he was 2 years old and therefore I am not worried about the fact that it is not waterproof. This mattress protector is really good quality, it is thick, soft, the contour is very stretchy and therefore stays snug around your mattress. I think it is perfect. I washed it and hung it dry before placing it on the bed. It's definitely worth the price. These all cotton mattress covers are really hard to find ( I had been looking forever) I am glad to have found this company.All other water proof mattress covers are made of nasty, chemical releasing materials that I chose to stay away from. This one is just perfect.

He comprado este producto dos veces, en queen y el último en king. Creo que es el mejor protector de colchón que he comprado. Me gusta la tela de algodón de buena calidad y resistente aunque no impermeable (si buscas impermeabilidad tal vez no sea la mejor opción). La tela de los laterales también se advierte resistente, he tenido otros protectores que terminan rompiéndose por los lados, este parece que resistirá mucho más. Lo he lavado en casa y se conserva en su forma original. Volvería a comprarlo.

Mainly cotton-filled mattress cover. Very comfortable and breathable. Rare on the market. Very happy with purchase!

This mattress pad is exactly what I was looking for! I have a water proof mattress protector that makes me feel like I’m sleeping on plastic even with a sheet on top. So I put this cotton pad on top of the protector and problem solved. It keeps me cool all night. I love that it’s very soft and adds a layer of comfort to my already comfortable mattress. I washed it before using and didn’t have any problems. Just be mindful of the washing instructions: cold water, delicate cycle, low heat drying. I bought the king size and it fits my king size mattress perfectly.

Nothing to dislike.... this is the best mattress pad I have ever found!(sleep philosophy all natural cotton filled mattress pad) it is just as described fits right under the mattress all the way around and really is cotton filled.
