Awesone mic ser you may not need to upgrade
This microphone works great and the boom arm is a must have for many application. The boom arm is made extremely well and far surpasses any of the cheap secondary arms out there for the price difference between this package and the one without it. If you want good quality, ease of use (plug it in and start using it, no software necessary). I had to use a USB-C to USB-A converter but that did not affect its functionality at all. Having all the necessary controls on the mic without having to go into any mic settings on the pc is also extremely friendly to use with no real sound transfer when using them. The mute button doesnt cause any noticeable clicks thru the mic either. I ise this for several purposes but mostly for voice chat while gaming and proper positioning doesnt pick up keyboard clicks with a quieter mechanical keyboard. On a side note it also pairs nicely with other specialized microphone software for much more control of its sound quality or style if you need that, such ss the SteelseriesGG. Doesnt quite have the sound quality of a Shure but the price difference for me doesnt justify paying so much more for the Shure. A true audiophile may think differently but for a good quality, feature rich mic with a boom arm that is easily worth $100 in itself, this is a great microphone set. It can easily do everything you need for quality gaming and even podcasting for those starting out and not wanting to break the bank on a high end Shure. I’d look into a Shure later if your podcasting starts to make you money to justify it but until that point you may just live this Sennheiser for a long time, and it will certainly last you for as long as you want it to.

My new favorite brand of mic
Mic is spectacularly clear. Super easy to set up/connectivity. Just plug in the usb-c to a pc and you're pretty much ready to use the mic instantly. The boom arm it came with is also great quality. Mostly all metal and easy to adjust, yet still holds in place nice and firm in any direction. Great price for a great mic. Also has multiple controls for fine tuning volume and other applications.

Very good sound; not dependent on software; easy manual controls
This is probably the best USB microphone available. It sounds smooth and natural, and it does not require any software to be installed on the computer or iPad. You just plug it in to any computer or tablet or smart phone, and it is recognized as a microphone. You simply adjust the dials on the microphone to get the right settings, and your headphones connect directly to the microphone so there is no delay in hearing yourself as you speak. This is significantly better than many USB microphones that rely on software being installed in order to work correctly. Software is always buggy and unreliable. If you update the operating system on the computer or phone, you often lose functionality in this kind of third part audio software. Over time, if the manufacturer stops maintaining the software as happens frequently, your microphone becomes a paperweight. The Sennheiser Profile microphone simply uses the universal USB audio standard built in to every computer, tablet, and smart phone. The microphone will work for decades into the future. The sound is smooth and clear and professional. Other USB mics sound thin and tinny. This one does not suffer from that problem. You can definitely get an even more refined sound from an XLR microphone and stand-alone microphone amplifier (if you know what you're doing), but this mic will sound better than 90% of the cheap USB mics that people are using all over social media.

Great mic with no software
I waited to write a review on this until after I used it for a bit. So this is replacing my Blue Yeti, and I have to say I love it more then the yeti. The sound is great, and the controls are easy. Best part is there is a mute button. Picks up my voice from the desk as I have not put it on a boom yet. Surprised that I don't have issues with picking up my keyboard or music in background. Something I had issues with on the Yeti. Some folk thinks that not having 4 pick up selections like the Yeti is a knock, but that is really not. Most people will only use front facing. The build of the mic feels very high end. All Metal and feels like it demands a space on your desk. The size is small, but don't let it fool you. It packs a punch where it counts and will make you sound pretty darn good without having to adjust any software.

Too expensive for the offering but great product
Beautiful matching boom arm. Only thing missing for this price point is the pop filter. So im discounting one star. That or could have made it less expensive.

Perfect buy
I bought it used. Works great with discord. Audio quality is nice and im glad it uses a USB C. Has a port for headphones which is perfect since I prefer to use wired earbuds. Gain works fine and no complaints from my friends. Color changes when you press mute and can adjust what you hear (desktop vs voice chat), i mean what else do you really need it to do

This is the real deal. 10 Star microphone for any recording, streaming or daily use.
As a professional sound engineer, I knew the minute I opened the box this was the best money spent on a USB mic ever. And two seconds out of the box I was still blown away by the quality of the of sound because it worked IMMEDIATELY as both a microphone with a mute mutton and a professional quality headphone jack for my system which doubles as an analog stereo output to any mixer. Sennheiser is legendary company for all these years because they don't make junk. I am buying several of these now. 10 Stars. Compatible with anything on earth. And unmatched clarity compared to any other USB mic I have.

Small, Light, High-Quality
I primarily chose this microphone because of it's size - it's small enough to keep on an arm right in front of you without being obnoxious. My Blue Yeti was so big I needed to keep it to the side of my monitors for example. From there I have been very happy with the sound quality. It's truly plug-and-play, and no software is required at all. Many people have complimented my sound quality and compared me to a professional podcaster, so I bought a second one for my work computer. I recommend pairing this with the Elgato arm. I also love that it's simply USB-C and I didn't need to worry about getting any additional hardware for XLR. Unless you're doing truly professional recording, you really don't need to spend the extra money on an XLR setup. Personally I can hardly tell the difference between this mic and an Shure XLR but I'm sure a true audio professional would care more. I run this microphone through the NVidia Broadcast app to clean up the background noise and I get compliments all the time on work calls about my voice quality. Highly recommend for a simple, plug-in-play microphone. Final note: The stand it comes with is super basic - I would highly recommend getting a microphone arm. But I'm not going to ding a cheap, high-quality mic because it comes with a cheap stand.
