SauconyWomen's Jazz Original Sneaker

I order a pair of these Sauconys about every 6 months. This brand and the fit of the Original Jazz model are mostly consistent year after year. The fit is the most important and Saucony does seem to hold true. This time the sole is thicker and sturdier which I think is good. There are a few supposed “original” jazz models so I buy a pair of the original when my size shows up in a color that that works for me. I usually have success through Amazon. I wear these almost everyday and alternate between 2 pairs. I hope Saucony continues to offer the Original Jazz model as few manufacturers are a fit for me. These are lightweight and as stylish as a sneaker can be. I usually end up with black as other colors don’t seem to come up in my size. But love that I can count on them being the same size and fit. I gave 5 stars but would have preferred that they used nylon over the toe instead of mesh as I wear them year round in the northeast. It’s a minor difference. I am not a runner and use these for all day wear and walking a few miles a day. So not sure if they work for a true runner. It’s a good sneaker

Too wide for my foot, but super great quality and style.

These were a gift for my wife as they are discontinued in the US. Arrived sooner than expected but had to return and re order as she needed a half size bigger. Other than that. These are exactly as expected.

*Update, almost 5 years later... I still have and wear these sneakers at work several days a week. They are the longest lasting of several pairs of Saucony shoes I own. * I love them. I bought the lower profile version last year, and loved them so well, I decided to stick with the brand. I get REALLY bad plantar fasciaitis, so, full disclosure, I have worn them without the insoles they came with, and replaced them with Arch Rival insoles. I bought the first pair from my orthopedic doctor, and the second pair from AMAZON (!) which I am currently wearing in these Saucony originals. I was just about crippled for 3 years with plantar fasciaitis, trying various sneakers and insoles, between rounds of steroid shots from my podiatrist, but after wearing the Saucony brand shoes for a couple/few months, my right foot was basically recovered. I do get temporary pain in my left foot after particularly busy days on my feet. Compared to what I was suffering previously, I can't really complain, and I really can't blame the shoes for that. I wear these virtually every day, all day, even at home. I am not a shoes off at home kind of person. Only on special occasions do I wear different shoes because of the pain shoes that are not sneakers cause me, so I really do value a sneaker that provides the comfort and durability that these do. So far, I fully intend to stay loyal to Saucony brand sneaks.

I've been wearing these for over 8 years. My favorite shoe brand. I have wide feet and big heels and they fit better than any other brand I've tried. If you have wide feet I would recommend these.

These shoes have a cool retro style, but not as comfortable as my last pair of Saucony sneakers. They are roomy inside, though, and have a decent amount of cushioning, minus much toe protection (I swear my toe's going to burst out and make a hole of the thin layer of material at the tip of the shoe--it's what made me give up my last pair of Saucony!). The shoes look quite large when you put them on, too. Not a super flattering look if you're petite! At least there were two pairs of laces; I used the black ones so the shoe doesn't stand out as much when I have them on.You actually feel like you're on heels when you wear this shoe. The heel does feel slightly higher than the front, and seems to put much more pressure on the front of your foot. The sole isn't wide like a running shoe, so you don't feel much traction, and I swear I'm walking an inch above the ground. Love the cushioning, but the instability on ground that isn't totally smooth is unsettling. I walk 2 miles a day, minimum, half country half city, and I got a feeling I won't be able to pull off more than a month of walking in these. My arches and the front of my feet felt so-so afterwards; I could go 3 miles in my old Saucony with no issues!I was really close to returning these because of all the negative above, but I figure they were still well-made and OK for the price. I thought I'd be able to pull of a kind of retro sneaker and work attire thing (lax office job), but even with these shoes, I'm pushing it. With my semi flat feet and petite frame, though, I'm getting Converse next time; smaller, and better traction.

I wear a wide-ish women's size 11 shoe. I have arthritis in one foot and a personal commitment to only wear cute shoes if they are also comfortable. My shoe collection consists of several pairs of Doc Martens, a few Birkenstocks, and various boots and casual sandals. I wanted an athletic shoe that would look cute with the sundresses and shorts I live in when the weather's hot, and I tried several other top brands before I settled on these. My feet are very hard to fit, and buying shoes online is often a dicey situation for me, but I was fed up and a bit desperate when I ordered these. I figured that I could at least send them back if they didn't fit. And they fit great! I have a foot that's often a bit wide, although I don't always need a wide shoe (in fact, one popular athletic shoe in "wide" was too narrow! So you can't really tell), and these are just right. My high instep and wide toes have plenty of wiggle room, and I love the thicker padding around the tongue and collar. The retro style is adorable- I get compliments every time I wear them. AND they are very reasonably priced. My only problem now is that I want several more pairs in different colors!
