I bought this repair kit to finally fix the bifold doors in my wash room. I was tired of them constantly sliding off the rails and never sitting right, and this kit turned out to be exactly what I needed. The parts fit well and made the repair straightforward. Once everything was installed, the doors were back on track and sliding smoothly like they should. It immediately fixed the issue that had been bothering me for a long time. Once you have bifold doors you know you are going to be repairing them at some point. This repair kit made the task easy because of the clear instructions and well-made replacement parts. It is good to have two people working on it, especially in a tight space.

Made in China, but better quality (thicker, heavier metal) than what was on the door. Turns out I didn't need the new hardware, but I did need the instructions. The Instructions did not include placement of the top bracket, but I looked more closely at the other door which did not need repair (which I could have done before) and figured it out. Door now works, but it is 1 inch away from the wall because I had previously screwed the top bracket into the framing backward, and I am too lazy to drill a new hole in the right place. I am happy that door moves properly and does not fall out of the brackets. Someday before I sell the house I will get a handyman to install the top bracket correctly.

Easy to install without instructions. A pantry door laid low by snapped hinges brought back into service in a few minutes. (There had been no door for months as I did not even think of such a repair kit)

After reseating a bifold door for the hundredth time, I decided it was time for some new hardware. Surely the door industry has come up with a better solution by now, right? This kit came with essentially the same hardware I already had, except the rectangular spring-loaded guide has been replaced with a wheel — a major upgrade. I believe the old guide was often to blame for rough operation and the door popping out of the track. However, the other weak point — the top pivot bracket that installs into the track — hasn’t changed (at least not in this kit). I had just as much trouble tightening the set screw enough to keep it from sliding as I did with the original. That might be partly because my tracks have seen better days and probably should've been replaced too. I've now replaced the hardware on all three bifold doors in my house with this kit, and they’re operating much more smoothly. Installation was pretty straightforward. The only minor issue was that the pivot pins and guide wheel were a bit loose in my doors, but a couple layers of hockey tape made them fit snugly.
