So easy to use! Highly recommended.
I really recommend this base to any Sawstop professional or industrial saw user that needs to have a mobile unit. It lifts the saw and extension table very smoothly, allows the saw to roll around smoothly and with little effort, and it gently rests the saw back down to the floor. It is easy to adjust the piston action as well to increase or decrease the descent. The item and particularly the wheels appear to be of very good quality, I don't foresee this thing breaking down easily.I use this base with Sawstop's professional saw and as such it includes a convertor system (included) that needs installation so that it will be compatible with the smaller base of the professional saw. The instructions are very well laid out and it took about an hour. I was pleasantly surprised at one point during the assembly; one of the steps requires removing some bolts that have been factory installed with some adhesive. The instructions state that they may be difficult to remove, and they were to some degree, but in the process of removing them, some of them got pretty darn stripped and mangled. I was initially a bit upset as I was thinking I was going to have to reuse these but Sawstop includes a completely new set of bolts to be used, with the old removed ones to be disposed of. I appreciated the forethought of the company; it seems obvious but many times I have had to run to a big-box store to find some replacement bolt/screw in this situation.Due to the fact that the base is originally for the industrial saw, it does add a little bit extra to the back side footprint of the professional saw, but it's not much, and the benefit of having this far outweighs having to deal with a slightly larger footprint.

The best Mobile Base I have ever used
When it comes to evaluating mobile bases, I've had the opportunity to test a range of options of mobile bases, from the abysmal Portamate to the somewhat passable Grizzly, and even the better-than-okay Rockler's mobile base. But when it comes to sheer excellence, SawStop's creation takes the cake. It handled my hefty SawStop table saw with such grace and ease that it felt like a majestic ballet of machinery. The hydraulic pump is a marvel in itself, adding that extra layer of precision and convenience. I can't help but wish SawStop would venture into making mobile bases for all sorts of applications because if their table saw mobile base is any indication, it would undoubtedly be the gold standard. This mobile base is the smoothest operator I've encountered, and its impeccable craftsmanship leaves me in awe every time I move my table saw. If there were a mobile base Olympics, this one would undoubtedly take home the gold medal!

you really are missing out if you don't have this on your sawstop
You could build this with a welder and about $75 in materials and a dozen hours of time, but really, it's well made and super convenient. I bought it because I have a tiny shop but if you have a larger shop and don't think you need it I insist you should buy this, it will make your saw all that more versatile. A child could push the saw around on this caster. It's excellent.

Difficult conversation, horrible customer experience
I have the profession saw which is fantastic. The conversion package to move from Industrial to Professional was extremely difficult to install. All the screws were glued in from manufacturing process and could not be removed without cutting them out. For me the hydraulic jack didn't work so i had to return. Because of the difficulty of installation i chose not to replace. Be warned CPO outlets has the worst customer service in the history of customer service. I spent 2 months and over 10 hours of my time on phone and emails to finally get this returned - will never buy from them again.

Great base, consider buying offline
This is an outstanding base. It lifts my Sawstop PCS and extension table with ease, and is super maneuverable. A couple notes:- If at all possible, assemble this before you stand up your saw. Else the instructions tell you to get at least 4 people, preferably 5, to lift the saw and tuck this under.- Assembly with the PCS conversion is rather easy, but I wish I had a longer/better 5mm hex wrench because some of the bolts were very tight and a couple were a little stripped. Little did I know the perfect wrench shipped with my PCS -- look there if you need one.- Mine arrived broken. It is a very odd box for UPS to maneuver (heavy and wide), and must be kept flat. I ended up buying another one at Woodcraft and returning my Amazon-purchased one. Same price.

Way too expensive for what it is
I bought because well i needed it but for a mobile base that is basically like a heavy duty shopfox base for LESS than 1/3 the price and just simply added a hydrolic lift which is not that costly and the shopfox weels are superb and can hold like double the weight of these. It is heavy duty gauge steel just not worth the price. Paying for the brand name sticker.

Upgraded PCS with mobile base to industrial
I have a small shop and I was always fighting the mobile base to make sharp turns. This industrial base is fantastic! Yes, the footprint of the saw is a little deeper in the back, but the mobility and ease of use is worth it. I also have an uneven concrete floor and the mobile base would sometimes release while moving it. The industrial is much more solid. If you are retrofitting a PCS with the mobile base, I used "method 2" from the mobile base manual to remove the old wheels. I put some 2x4s down to rest the rails on and another 2x4 at the back where I was working in case it tipped back -- I never had a problem with that. It was fairly simple to remove. To install the industrial. I used two saw horses (500lb capacity each) and two 2x4 to hold the table saw up. I just tipped the saw one direction, added the 2x4, then tipped the other. Do the short side first. I had to remove the motor door. It worked well and was very stable. I was also very careful to never have body parts where they could get crushed if something didn't hold.
