Touching Cloudbase: The Complete Guide to Paragliding Paperback – 30 Aug. 2015

This book is the first recommendation from BHPA coaching staff. Highly useful

I will be learning to paraglide in 2021. This book was recommended by a friend who's been paragliding for many years. Flicking through the pages, it looks well written, with good photography and illustrations.

This is a must have. I recently did my Elementary Pilots course with Fly Spain in Algodonales. I got this book and studied it for a few weeks beforehand which gave me a head start and a decent understanding. Then it goes on to give good information for all your flying career. I have heard it described as a bit of a pilots bible.

Well worth the wait, as just released as a new print issue; still reading through, but reads easy and gives lots of great advice from someone who knows what their talking about.

I first read this classic book back in 92 or maybe 93...After a long break from flying, I decided to invest in the 6th edition and am pleased to report it's still a classic.But I was disappointed by the number of typos and grammatical mistakes throughout that made some parts of the book less clear than it could have been - hence 4 stars.

Great reference book for anyone taking up Paragliding. Recommended by instructor and has not dissapointed.

Well written by an experienced instructor. If you are just getting into the sport then this is definitely a good investment. I also recommend looking on You tube for "paragliding fails" for an appreciation of the dangers.

Book as expected. Good for paragliding beginners, especially for learning theory for exams.

It is a very comprehensive introduction to the sport. A must read before taking a course.

Ottimo libro per avvicinarsi in mariera reale e completa al parapendio e paramotore. Il libro è in inglese, l ho comperato in preparazione al corso per paramotore fatto in Spagna in una scuola Inglese. Mi ha dato delle nozioni sia basilari che avanzate, un ottimo aiuto indispensabile

Bought this book as it is on the recommended reading list for a course I am looking to take. I have not finished reading this yet but so far it has been a great intro to the sport
