Bright and solid (but no batteries)
The flashlight is bright, has zoomable feature, and accepts single 18650 lithium battery only. But they don't come with any batteries, well, most of them don't, maybe it's a way to cut corners of the shipping weight, I don't know.Months before I bought a similar set from LETMY (LETMY didn't mark the model name, or they did and I can't remember). I intended to buy the same model (HinsGEAR mark it as "SK68-Pro") again from HinsGEAR this time because the prices are exactly the same, and I figure a pro version must be better. Here's how they compare:1) Batteries: The LETMY takes an AA while the HinsGEAR takes single 18650.2) Brightness: The LETMY claims the flashlight has 300 lumens, which I highly doubt because it takes only one AA battery for runing. The HinsGEAR claims has 500 lumens, well, more or less, it's much brighter than the LETMY one, that I can tell you.3) Quality: Both LETMY and HinsGEAR's flashlight feel solid, but the HinsGEAR one is biggher in size.4) Convenience: Both have clip, and small in size, very easy to carry or store.Overall I think the HinsGEAR SK68-Pro definitely won, both LETMY’s and HinsGEAR's sold at 9.99 dollars, there's no reason not to buy the brighter one.

They are bright and work fine.
These are fine to work with, yet I don't need five functions on a flashlight. That is a bit over the limit of using something on the fly. I need it now and need a mildly strong light NOW. I really do not want to punch through a bunch of steps for the correct strength of light output. Still, I consider this to be a buy for the right person.

Not very bright.
Not very bright. I was going to mount it on an AR but it's not bright enough. It's probably comparable to a single AA led flashlight, not a 18650 led flashlight.

Not very bright, complicated mode selection and sharp edges
These take 18650 batteries (mine are flat-top), and work okay as flashlights. The batteries are inserted the way you'd expect, even though there's no markings. The rubber toggle button on the end both turns on the power and selects between different intensities, flashing modes, etc.The mode selection is a little bit complicated. There's three different intensities and 2-3 flash modes, so the power button cycles this way: Off -> 3 -> 2 -> 1 -> flash 1 -> flash 2 -> Off. I don't know what all these modes are intended for, but I'd rather have just on and and off, and if there's some other function have a separate control for that. These rubber-covered toggle buttons I've found to be a point of failure for flashlights, I've had about 7 flashlights fail just because of that part. The brightness is less bright (maybe 1/3rd) than my current flashlights, which are also compact aluminum style like these are. I switched the battery between my current and these just to verify this. There is also a focus mechanism (beam width) but that didn't see very useful to me.There are sharp corners on the clips where they attach to the barrel, which you could easily nick yourself on.

Sharp Edges, Finicky Switches, and Batteries Weren't Included
The 18650 batteries you need to operate these aren't included. Once we got some, we discovered that only one flashlight was functional and the other was really finicky. We don't like how you have to click through every setting to turn it off and that it often gets stuck in-between settings or will randomly dim. And the clip is has very sharp edges! Disappointing.

Not an easy review to give
When I got this, I was really looking forward to grabbing one of the batteries from my stash in the back room and seeing how it worked. I then found out this requires a special battery - a model #18650 - nope I never heard of it either. This was admittingly my first Tech light. So now I'm looking into finding a cheap battery so I can actually test it. So all said - it looks well built and it has a great style but unless you read deeper into the description than I did when I first ordered, you won't be able to use it until you buy the right battery, which by the way - is about $16 a piece plus a charger. I suppose truly it is my fault, but as a reviewer, I thought I should let you know what's coming if you buy this flashlight without reading the entire description.• Part Two - I got the battery to make this function and this little light is a powerhouse for its size. You can zoom it in and out - the one odd thing is that it projects a square light projection on my back fence (about 100 ft away) - and being old fashion, I like a round light - but if I was really old fashion, I wouldn't have an LED flashlight. Anyway, I raised this from three stars to four stars in my review because this really does a great job - however, I am still not a fan of getting the battery separately.
