This calculator will allow you the "do it yourselfer " to handle any project like a seasoned contractor. I have been using this and other calculators like it ever since they came out. I remember the first one: a bit Larger and very expensive. It is an indispensable tool to do projects accurately and with as little over purchase and waste as possible. Today this calculator costs the about the same as a fast-food lunch and does more than ever. It is a really fantastic purchase, and the price is so low you will wonder why you did not get it sooner. You will get your money back in savings after the very first project estimate, and I am not kidding. Before I discovered the Construction Calculator, I used to calculate projects long hand using a simple adding machine and estimates on the number of supplies and waste expected (usually 10 %). Since using this calculator specifically made for the type of projects one does when working on homes, yards, fences, buildings etc. I have reduced my over purchase by 25% and waste by 15%. I never said I was good at math. The types of projects that this Calculator can estimate is almost limitless and will help with any project I can think of that has to do with the building or remodeling. If you get this machine, you will not be disappointed and you will be very happy you have it, using it to help friends relatives and maybe a contractor or 2. One other item of interest, this calculator uses batteries only. No solar cell. Not that important but good to know so always keep extra batteries with you.

I have been using this construction material calculator for more than 20 years for calculating material for drapery making. It is easy to use, and instructions are clear and uncomplicated. It functions are not difficult to understand, it is accurate and its speed of operation quick. It has a long battery life. I use it for any project around the house that I need to calculate materials for. Using it has saved me from over buying materials and having to find somewhere to store it. Great calculator for the price. Only down about it is it's battery consumption. You have to turn it off or else it will drain the battery. I've already changed the batteries twice. Other than that it's a great calculator, especially with the hard case it comes with.

3 stars for only one reason. If you're like me and you thought this was a cheaper way to get the calculated industries 4019 then you're mostly right. There is one HUGE way it isn't. As far as cost estimations when you're finding material costs. This ONLY does cost for paint per gallon. Not bricks, blocks, studs, etc etc. Essentially anything else. Can you find a way to calculate with a other calculator after using this one, sure. But this is NOT the same as the 4019. It's close and does a lot of the other calculations. I may be missing some others it won't do but know this is a bad copy of the 4019. They obviously missed something. Here's another thing..... Customers service. I called victor after realizing this. After 10 minutes on hold I was told to leave a message with issue and phone number and name. I did. Nothing back. I called calculated industries on a different matter but also got to ask about this and I was connected in less than 2 minutes with someone here in the USA. Also calculated industries has a special option if you get stuck with a calculation. A live person will walk you through it. Spend the extra money and get a calculator that does it right and a company that will be there if you need them. Talked for just under 1 hour with her and she's texting me pictures tomorrow about the 4019 fitting into the armadillo case they sell. She doesn't think so but a person is checking and sending pictures. In this day and age avoid the knockoffs and buy the real thing. They also have tons of videos and shorts on YouTube for their calculators. I can't recommend this one. Sorry but not sorry. 4019 is on the way.
