Mcdavid Ligament Knee Support

I have yet to put this to the test in a sporting situation. However, the item is well made, seems durable and was as described. I have worn it around the house in as I moved things in the garden. The support this gave to my knee (knee cap moves and currently swollen and painful) was immediate! I am impressed so far. I may just get one for the other knee.

Relatively comfortable for a support of this type

I have had one of these supports for about a year now and I think it's great. I have arthritis and was about to do a sponsored walk when my knee decided to play up, it wouldn't support my weight. I could walk perfectly normally with the brace on and had no pain. I recently bought another one from this Amazon seller and found that they sent me an older design one, which wasn't as comfortable. The one I already have was 2008 on the packaging but the one I got from here was 1998. The design has obviously changed and I agree with the comments from the other reviewer about it not being comfortable. I am however returning it to get another one from the seller I got the first one from. Although the 2008 design does still wrinkle around the knee a bit it's a lot better than the 1998 design. Something to watch out for.

From not walking a lot my husband actually mowed the lawn when he put this support brace on. The secret is in the supports at the side. They stopped the twist on the kneecap he was getting from just an ordinary kneestrap.

Great support in time of need

Big problem with this is that they wrinkle when you start exercising. This can be very annoying and the fit can be frustrating. Found it a bit awkward and McDavid are very unfriendly to deal with

He usado varías rodilleras antes, de rodilla completa sin amortiguación lateral ni bandas cruzadas que se caían al correr y bandas de silicona por debajo de la rodilla que algo hacían pero no demasiado, inyectado ácido hialuronico, fisioterapia y fortalecimiento de cuádriceps y hecho plantillas a medida para corregir la posada, incluyendo estudio de la pisada con zapatillas de alta gama y nada de esto me había funcionado contra la crondomalacia del todo, siempre a los 5 o 6 km volvía el dolor. Primer me compre una para probarla y el resultado fue inmediato, primera salida de 10 km sin dolor, luego 15, y nada en esa rodilla, así que la compre también para la otra rodilla y mismo resultado. La verdad es que no me creo el resultado. A parte de eso son cómodas al correr y te dan sensación de seguridad, quizás a la hora de llevarlas molestan un poco pero nada serio y por supuesto dan calor pero tampoco nada excesivo. 100% recomendables, lastima no haberlas comprado antes.

Merveille de support que cette genouillère McDavid 425, parfaite réponse à mes douleurs persistantes. Ancien basketteur, la pratique de mon sport m'a valu plusieurs blessures endommageant mes genoux. Le droit en particulier m'empêche d'enchaîner les efforts. Après avoir essayé plusieurs alternatives recommandées par kinés, médecins et autres professionnels de la santé, j'ai trouvé mon bonheur avec le petit bijou susdit. Non seulement je peux plier la jambe sans ressentir de pointe, je peux désormais marcher et même trottiner (je n'ose pas encore courir, blocage mental oblige) en me sentant parfaitement protégé et accompagné (ce sentiment d'accompagnement est essentiel en ce qu'on n'a pas à dénaturer la démarche ni faire attention à chaque pas) mouvement après mouvement. Au repos aussi, la genouillère fait le job en enveloppant la zone recouverte sans devenir hypra-collante et suintante comme trop d'autres concurrentes. Seul léger bémol, la zone centrale se rétracte parfois à force de plier/déplier la jambe et finit par entraîner un léger glissement de la genouillère vers le bas. Non que ça m'ait véritablement gêné jusqu'ici, la fixité étant quasi-optimale avec les différentes bandes diagonales. Globalement très satisfait des produits McDavid, car c'est la satisfaction procurée par une chevillère achetée précédemment qui m'a poussé à acheter cette genouillère.

As braces go, this ones pretty danged good. I had surgery on a meniscus tear 35 years ago and was recently on a vacation that involved a lot of stairs. Needless to say, my knee was not happy. The last brace I got from the doctor was too small and smelled terrible, so I decided to try my luck here. I was worried because the sizing is based on joint size, not leg circumference, and, because I'm overweight, I tend to have issues with the thigh part being too tight. For reference, my joint measures 16.5" and 4" above my knee is about 22". I'm happy to say that, although the brace is a bit snug, it's not painful. It fits pretty well, and the pain is gone. I have now ordered the XXL size so that I have something a bit more comfortable to wear around the house, but this XL is going to be great for walks. I am not at all disappointed. I also love the extra support the criss cross straps above and below the knee cap give. My knee cap is the most painful, and with this thing on, it's finally quiet.

Fantastic knee brace. I use this brace playing racquetball a few times a week, which means lots of stops, starts, and changing directions. My knee pain during games is virtually gone. I tore a meniscus a few years back and even after surgery there was still pain, but this brace provides enough support to play almost pain-free. Others say it fits small, but I ordered according to McDavid's sizing chart and got a perfect fit. Definitely recommend it.

I ordered an XXL size for my larger leg. It is a sleeve type slip on with velcro straps to adjust for above and below the knee. I needed ligament support and this was the best of the 3 braces I tried. It is comfortable, supportive, well made, and reasonably priced. The braces in the discount stores are cheap and ill fitting. I considered myself lucky with this purchase.
