The Book Seat - Cinnabar Red - The Most Comfortable Way to Read, Hands Free!

When the book seat (don't like the name) arrived it looked way too small and stiff to be of use to me. I always read hardcovers and usually quite thick. I tested it with a famously thick book, War and Peace and it held perfectly. The see through page holder can stretch out as far as you need to accommodate book size. I would imagine a very tall book like a coffee table book would be hard to manage, but they're not meant to be read lying down. Second, I had the impression it would be really bean baggy, really floppy on the bottom to adjust well to all irregular surfaces. Again, it looked too small and thin on the bottom. But it works pretty well, and you'd have to work at it to knock it over. So it gets five stars for the book holding function.the only negative for me is the page turning. They say it's "incredibly easy" but that's not true. But I don't think it's possible with any book stand. You don't have to pick the book up, turn page and put it back in again. You leave the book alone, which is a plus. And pulling the page holder is easy, at which point you have two options. First, you can pull it down so it completely clears the book, then turn the page. This is what I do and works ok if a bit awkwardly with big hardcover books. I don't see it working with paperbacks without the book closing and losing your page. For those books, I think you keep the book holder upright and pull it out about an inch so the book can't shut, then you sort of fold the page you're turning up at the bottom to clear the page holder. Both options are easier than my confusing description, and probably as easy as it gets. But it's still a bit messy.I spent a lot of time on my one slight criticism, but as I said I think all similar products have that. Overall it's a great product.

I love reading books, but I always HATED holding the book open (I want to relax and I always get annoyed with the arm strain of holding a book without a support underneath) but this removes the arm strain of holding the book up and the thumb/hand strain of holding the pages open. I really only read while laying in bed with a few pillows behind my head and would put the book on my stomach and have my neck light to light the pages, but I am slightly overweight (lol) and my stomach would block the bottom of the page from the neck light so I had to always hold the book up for the last few lines, with this book pillow it holds it up just the right amount to utilize the neck light and fully illuminate the pages. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

This product is perfect for reading in bed, chair, couch.... The clear "page holder" is the best! Because it's clear you can keep reading the full page. And the page holder is adjustable so no matter what your book thickness is, it will hold it open! The size is perfect too....I didn't want a big table type because they're hard to store. This is the perfect size & lightweight! I bought the purple one and it's pretty much the exact color that is shown in the pics. The only con is the back pocket is too small, but I don't really care about that too much.

We all have our many struggles of reading a book and having to shift here and there when a body part goes numb. Or maybe you want to snack while you read, but your hardcover has opinions on how many hands you should have access to when you read. This book seat helps with that BUT there is one disadvantage you should keep in mind.If your hardcover is 600+ pages long, and you just started it, the book seat will start to look like the leaning tower of Pisa until it eventually falls on its side. If you want to prevent that, use those thigh muscles, and just keep it steady and it will do okay. I've used it on my desk (as in, placed the book seat on my desk) while I had both hands on a snack bowl, and yeah, that is only feasible if you're in the middle of the book (or close to). If it's the beginning of the book, or the end, it will lean towards the weight.Outside of that, it works as intended, and I like how you can pull on the the page holder to let you turn the page. Some of the text behind it does look kind of odd (and hard to read, depending on) but pulling on the page holder isn't that difficult a task, so that helps.All in all, it is comfy, and makes reading a lot more enjoyable (I haven't tried it with my tablet yet, but I imagine that the weight is likely not a big issue with that one).

Bought this for my daughter-in-law who loves to read. Works well for both her Kindle and paperback books. Works great in bed on the kitchen counter or at the beach. It was a great gift

I love reading in many different positions so this comes in so handy!It's sturdy and soft and holds the pages for you. It's easy to turn pages and houses your open book for you if needed.Perfect for traveling. It's definitely a must for any readers in your life.The color selection is great and delivered on time.I would recommend.

This is a wonderful little thing. My arms would get shooting pains from holding my iPad to read my books. Now my iPad sits comfortably in the seat and life is good and the pain has lessened. I will be buying my family Book Sears for Christmas
