Did the job perfectly. I had put the ferrule into hot water to soften it because my stick was on the borders of 12mm,but being rubber that worked pretty well and made a nice tight fit. Time will tell if it splits because of the tight fit. I will report if that happens quickly.

They are a very good thing to have if you do a lot of walking on grass

I had noticed my hiking pole slipping on hard surfaces and discovered the end cap had worn through. Measured the cap and bought these. I was extremely pleased to find they fit my hiking pole and they were so easy to put on. I didnt have to strongly pull the top wider to snap back at all. They just pushed on easily. I was so pleased about this as I am an older female with decreasing strength.

That a ferrule is provided with the shooting stick but spares may be useful in the future.

They fit my shooting stick well No problems there I have to remember to remove them when out walking as i used the shooting stick with the rubber tip on it outside and it went thru the tip . So Yes they are good for me but must be removed when using the stick outside. I have used the stick in and indoor situation and they are non slip and will prevent the sick from damaging the floor .For all they cost it's a good idea to get a few if you need to use the stick as a walking stick inside
