Sowder Duck Goose Feather Trim Fringe 2 Yards (Silver)

Absolutely perfect for a costume. Great quality and worth every penny. I made my halloween costume this year and these made my costume so much easier. They lasted all night and not one fell off. I love that you can cut these shorter as well if needed. All the feathers are very thick and soft as well.

The goose feathers were perfect for my lamp makeovers. I’m making over my bedroom and I had two lamps that didn’t match. I spray painted both of them with metallic silver spray paint and bought the lampshades from Amazon. They needed some thing more to complete my vision and these goose feathers and a row of rhinestones did the trick. I glued the band of goose feathers along the bottom of the lampshades and then topped the edge with the rhinestone trim. The end result was exactly what I hoped for: funky glam! The feathers were very easy to work with and while a few of them had slid out of the ribbon they were easy enough to poke back in. In the picture you can see how close the feathers are together, no big gaps. You can manipulate them easily if they’re askew in the band. I am really pleased with the quality of the feathers and the clarity of the white color.

We used this feather trim to make a bird costume for one of our children. The feather trim was the exact color as the pictures, was packaged well and came undamaged. The stitching on the seam, where the feathers were bound together, was firm and well done. The feathers were high quality with little, if any, fraying. The dye used to color the feathers held fast and didn't smear or wipe off onto other materials. After cutting, the seam and stitching remained firmly in place. Overall, this was a great product that fulfilled the exact need we had. It added the perfect flair to the costume, and our daughter got third place in the city-wide costume contest. I would recommend this product for anyone with similar needs to ours. I am sure there are a variety of other uses, and this is such a good product that it will likely fill whatever need you have.

The royal blue feather trim was beautiful and exactly what I needed for my son’s parrot Halloween costume. I measured it and was not shorted any like another reviewer mentioned. The feathers were in great condition too. My one problem was sewing with it. The ribbon that connects the feathers must have a sticky glue inside. When sewing with a sewing machine through the ribbon, my needle quickly became coated with a sticky substance. I broke one needle and had lots of skipped stitches. The only thing that finally worked to machine sew it on (after replacing the needle) was to sew above the ribbon line, over the exposed feathers themselves. I have never sewn with feather trim before, so I’m not sure if this is typical or not.

I used this in a Halloween costume this year. The character I went as had a collar lined with black feathers. I was going to skip that part of the costume until I found this fringe. It took me about 15 mins in total to cut it to size and sew it on to my costume. Super easy and it turned out super great. One word of warning: if you do use a sewing machine needle, this will leave some gunk on the needle after you have finished sewing. I suspect it is the adhesive that holds the feathers in. It is fairly easy to clean off, so it is really not that big of a deal. Just make sure you don't sew this and then immediately after start sewing with expensive materials.

The feathers that got hit with the paint are nice, but many are only half coated. Wish the gold was painted on more consistent.

This brand is hands down the best in fringe feather trim. The feathers are 6-8” in length and I only had to replace a few. Will definitely be buying again.

My daughter made a skirt for her six year old for Halloween she was a feather duster it was gorgeous.
