Love smallrig products I wish I was designing some of there soft boxes I use this item for large group portraits I like the fast setup and go I’m a traveling photographer so being quick and on the go is essential and the quality and brightness of product is great I keep mine in the box and carrying case it came in small rig products are great and sturdy!

This light diffuser was perfect for my needs! I use a Godox flash with it and it works perfectly!

Beautiful, soft, easy to set up, fraction of Aputure cost for 90% of the benefit.

These are great soft boxes. Made very well. Sturdy. Deep, for a nice soft look. But massive. I bought 2 to use with the small rig led I just purchased. I just ordered the medium softbox version as well because these are massive. Could find multi uses. Only drawback, to assemble and dis assemble you have to click and unclick each rod into place. It’s sturdy and very strong. Not a major issue, just slightly time consuming. Just by a few minutes. I can live with it. Designed well overall. I would and did buy again. Works well with the small rig led it is branded with, but in my opinion the small rig led offers a ting too much green in the white balance compared to Aputure lights I have used before. You will not go wrong with this purchase, just beware of the small rig led, I’m not yet sure it’s a keeper for me. Just began testing with it and noting that after my initial setup. Hope this helps. Surprised at the quality of these soft boxes. Working as a gaffer I find these super convenient and useful for small projects. Time will tell but overall love them

Perfect but wrong size

so i ordered the 120cm version of this softbox for my smallrig 220b light and i knew it would be pretty big but i wasnt expecting it to be as massive as it is. the build quality and materials are very very good but that also creates the real problem with this softbox, its so massive and well built that it too heavy to be adjusted properly on the smallrig 200b light. if thinking of purchasing this exact size(47.2inch120cm) for the smallrig 220b or 220c id recommend going with the 33.5inch 85cm size should be easier to adjust once attached to the light

Excellent product and I can verify that it fits the Zhiyun Molus X100 video lights using their Bowens Mount Adapter. Assembly is straightforward and easy.

The advantage of a softbox is that they create more flattering light for portraits/videography. The bigger the softbox's size (and the closer it is to the subject), the more diffuse the light. There's a lot of debate online whether parabolic softboxes have an advantage over thinner flatter ones (and evidence to suggest they don't when the diffusers are being used). But the advantages of this model are that it's incredibly quick to erect/dissassemble thanks to the external click-in-place struts, the two layers of diffuser ensure soft light (plus a grid to control it if desired), and if you use solely the reflector part you get a very different look and get the advantage of the parabolic shape. SmallRig provides a great carrying case and the built-in Bowens connector means you don't need to buy a separate speedring, which saves on cost. Bear in mind it is a bit weighty - my normal lighting stand needed sandbags and flexed under its weight, so you may need to consider SmallRig's light stand as an add-on. Also bear in mind the depth of the parabolic shape means it takes up more space.
