Great little practice kit.
After a recent brave decision to attempt to replace a Switch charge port showed me that Soldering is not as easy as it looks, I decided to find a practice kit. For £4, you get to build your own little digital clock. A clock you don't need, but you will totally display it, especially if you as proud of yourself as I am.Instructions where simple enough, but I also printed out the image that shows the completed board and just copied that.Took me a couple of chilled out hours, but it's all working. Go me.One thing, I'm not sure if I did it or not, but a contact on the PCB was missing, (or I may have burned it off?) either way, I ended up creating a bridge with a little bit of wire. I'm also going to solder my power lead to the connector points on the bottom of the PCB for cleanness and strength.I love it, buy it if you would like to improve your soldering skills. Now, I need to work out what to do with it!

Great simple kit, not all components fit perfectly, Poor instructions
This is a great, simple, and most of all, cheap (@£3.99), electronics kit that is ideal for beginner electronic enthusiasts. The PCB is fairly clearly marked out for the components, but some of the components (eg the buzzer and a couple of the caps) are not the size of the holes in the PCB, so you can't fully sit them down on the board. The build instructions are pretty woeful, many beginners would find them of very little help. To help others, there's a "Build With Me" type video of it being built, just search for " Youmile C51 " on youtubeOverall, despite the poor instructions supplied, I would recommend this kit, it's a good kit to practice your soldering on, and you get a working clock at the end of it!!

Good Beginners/practice kit but.....
Ok kit to get you going. Mine works ok after some minor channel repair as the solder pads do easily come away from the board. Good cheap practice kit as a starter project. Down side is the instructions are in chinese so some very careful research is recommended on construction.

Not difficult to build and excellent value.
I bought this as a cheap project to practice soldering, and was delighted that it worked first time. The diagrams are quite adequate to assemble it although I had to find a youtube video to show which way round the component labelled R2 went. (If you look at as aligned on my picture, the white dot goes to the left as you look at it, ie under the first digit of the display). My only gripe is that the instructions showing how to set the clock once built are very difficult to follow.

Great practice kit but poor quality PCB = failed to work
I so wanted to love this kit, great value for the components you get, it's a dream to put together and everything is really well placed, a wiring schematic is provided but the PCB is clearly labelled that I didn't need it until I double checked prior to soldering it.Sadly the poor quality of the PCB meant a couple of the solder pads delaminated, I attempted to bridge the faulty pads but no luck.I understand 'user error' is a common problem when applying too much heat but I'm more than competent at soldering, I use a TS100 temperature controlled iron with a fine tip at 310c, I never leave the tip on the contact for more than a second, most soldered without an issue, just 2 of the pads failed.Others might have more luck but mines bin fodder :(

Great project, worked perfectly, got inspiration from others
Great project to do for a first timer.I looked at the way others had put together and copied and it worked first time.I used an old usb cable and used the positive and ground wires (ren and black on mine), and it worked. Now need to decide what to do next ミ●﹏☉ミ

Quick to assemble but very bad timekeeping
30 minute fun project to solder assembly, powered up with 5 volts. All ok apart from a minute takes actually 2 minutes 25 seconds so great if you want to feel like you’ve lived longer lol. That said was a good excuse to use the oscilloscope to fault find. The crystal oscillator seemed to vary between 6-10 mhz so thinking that’s the problem (cheap fix) it should be a stable 12 mhz. Tho could also be old electrolytic capacitors. No rush to fix it so one step at a time.I’ll probably benefit more from the fault finding experience than I did from the building of this item. Will update if I remember.

Worked First Time
Great little kit. My first attempt at soldering and it worked first time. You don't really need instructions to build it, just take your time. Watch out for the transistors - they are all the same appearance but one is different rating and that is how I learned how to unsolder :) You can search for operating instructions in English.Good project for solder practice.Reviewed in Ireland not UK

Top per principianti
Ottimo per iniziare, semplice da costruire...se si cerca il pelo nell'uovo gli agganci per il positivo e il negativo sono scadenti.
