High Quality DAC Cable
Easily pushes 10gigabit with the same brand 10gtek pcie add-in card, no issues, easy installation. More flexible than people make it to be, just be careful not to bend too much on it, so no hard 90degree turns. Works flawlessly picked up fast by the nic with no signal loss of this short distance.

Specially for Mellanox Netwok cards firmware
10 Gtek is a good company. Had some other cables from them and they work straight away. These transceivers need to be programmed for certain cards. I had a Mellanox card and this is what you need then. If you have a Juniper, you need Juniper ones. Or HP, IBM. etc. You cannot use the default 10 Gtek ones. So hope that helps to clarify this in case anyone is wondering what cable they have to buy if they don't know. Further good quality but the pull strips of plastic to get it out of the socket are a bit flimsy. So be careful when you pull the transceiver out of the socket. You need to pull it from the plastic pull strip not on the transceiver housing. So far it works and thanks for Amazon to send it quickly.

Did the job
Worked great to link a Ubiquiti switch & firewall. No compatibility issues and ports are stably locked at 10 Gbps.

Compatible and fast
I'm using this 10Gtek Intel SFP+ cable (XDACBL2M) between a QNAP TS-932PX which has built-in SFP+ ports and the Netgear MS510TX switch, which also has a built-in SFP+ port. I was concerned that this cable wouldn't be compatible and thought for £22 I'll try it rather than the Netgear £96 cable or the QNAP £100 cable. The connection worked immediately and although I'm busy testing performance, I've seen this spike to around 6.3Gbps during transfers (around 800MB/sec throughput) from a Windows PC with the Asus 10GbE NIC to an iSCSI volume on the NAS. I have 5x4TB SATA drives in RAID5 for storage, and 2x480GB SATA SSDs in RAID1 for caching read/write IO.

Shows 10gb link between my switches which is good
But the downside is that it doesn't report any stats on my Ubiquiti switches and even shows OEM as the brand which is why its lost a star, Otherwise it seems well built the cable is thinner than i imagined so it fits in the rack nicely. Not tested the actual speed yet, waiting for other parts to come in.

Bought several of these to connect Ubiquiti switches to each other, as well as servers to the switches. No issues observed after nearly a year of usage; for the price - cant go wrong with these DACs!
