StaggExtension for KXS-AE, MXS Keyboard Stands

Not as sturdy as the professional frame stands for gigging, but great value for home use once assembled. If not moving the frame around a lot this stand will do the job at a fraction of the price and will save space as the frame is lower than other more expensive frames. I have my own set up at three tiers high, but all my synths are light in weight and comply with the recommended weight guidelines set by the manufacturer.

My synth is quite small so when I attached the mount to my keyboard stand the mount was too wide to take synth. Had to adapt it. The bar in the middle is too wide for small synth,s. Wont close up small enough for small keyboards.

I wasn’t sure about how strong this would be as I had a 76 key Casio workstation to go onto extension brackets but it works fine and sits on there nicely. It’s a must that you have the correct keyboard stand for it to fit onto in the first place.Mine is a double braced one and took a chance that it fitted, which it did, perfectly

Bought for my son to add to his keyboard stand and it's done the job well.

Works well. I bought this expecting it to fit another stand but didn’t. So I purchased a 25mm electrical cable plastic barrier pipe and cut it to length. It fits inside my current stand and inside these arms and they screw on to it. Pipe was 1.45 for a 3m length from screwfix and ensure these stand arms work for my purpose. Like I said, my mistake buying the wrong ones but if you do a little DIY they will fit other stands.

Stagg Extension Brackets to suit the Stagg A-Series keyboard stand is made of good quality metal and all holes actually line-up for the cross-bar that fit between the two uprights.Fitting the Stagg extension brackets to the keyboard stand was not a problem and straight forward. However, there are a few problems, hence three stars:-Problem 1: You are limited to the height you can have your keyboard stand due to the extension brackets cross-bar. Yes, you can remove it, just make sure the uprights are tight enough that they don't just split apart and your synth falls between. This is where you could make your own.Problem 2: If you have a small-width synthesiser, such as the Roland JD-Xi as I do, you are limited to, again, the height of the keyboard stand due to how wide you can open the extension brackets.Problem 3: The stops that hold your synth in place so that it doesn't slide forward have been roughly cut and have sharp edges and CAN scratch your synth case if you do not put a couple of sticky pads to stop this.For the money, the extension brackets are really good but as stated, i have applied three stars due to the minor problems.I have attached three photos to show my setup:Photo 1: Stagg Extension Brackets fitted to the Stagg Keyboard Stand.Photo 2: Side view of the Stagg two tier stand with my keyboard and synth in place.Photo 3: Looking at the setup from a corner perspective.

This extension is great except when the lower stand is at its narrower settings the extension and its cross section pole are to long to fit so I have it without the cross section.
