I had pipework on a one and a half kitchen sink which no amount of Mr Muscle, Buster, Bang or caustic soda was going to clean, so it seemed simpler to replace the whole network and this double sink kit was actually cheaper than the sink and half kit and, as the only difference was the length of the connecting pipe, which would have to be cut to size in either kit, it was an easy decision. The only fiddly part in fitting is measuring and cutting the connecting pipe between the two sink outlets and the main down pipe to line up with the outlet pipe through the wall. All the required fittings are there, all of good quality, and once everything was cut to size, connection was a matter of minutes and nothing leaked when it was tested. It is a good price, good quality and easy to fit.

I overhauled my kitchen plumbing and have always had success with Mcalpine. This has very solid fittings which I believe will last well. The only issue for me was my drain outlet was quite low down so I had to extend one length of pipe to the strainer by approx. 30mm.

This is the third pipe set i have bought and finally. These work perfectly. I combined these with a brand of cement to create a watertight seal. It was the exit valve that made the difference. It is excellent. Fits perfectly on the exit pipe and cemented in well. It has a small insert which travels an inch or so down the exit pipe giving the extra grip and seal. All the rubber washers are perfect and the pipes sit inside each other with a tightness that is both effective and pleasing. No sealant was used on any of the joints or seals and they are all watertight. Given that i have had a small amount of practice, but im very new to plumbing. This job took around 25 minutes from start to finish. I am so so relieved to finally get piping that works. Excellent stuff. 5*

Fitted this with ease and had zero leaks. I had purchased a cheaper kit previously (half the cost) and had two incurable leaks on it because the seals failed and the screwed threads and plastic were poor overall. Spend the extra money, get this kit and have peace of mind.

Easy to fit, a good price, i used it to replace a double sink fitting that needed modification as i changed the sink. Just fitted to the sink drains easily, hand tight, then i cut the pipe to the right length to match the new double sink using a junior hacksaw and a de-burr tool to remove the bits from cutting it. It fitted together well and no leaks.

Cannot comment about it as I haven’t had time to fit it. But it looks good quality.
