Monster MC 1000HD-25 Ultra-High Speed HDTV HDMI Cable (25 feet)

If you need an HDMI cable over 10ft long, do yourself a favor and get a Monster. Everyone knows Monster makes the best cables, that is why they can charge 5 times the price of most other cables. I can't say they make a difference over short distances (they may), but any kind of cable like this 25 footer is WAY better than the other brands. I guess because of the build construction, it loses less signal over distances. This thing works great and give a noticably crisper and smoother (during action scenes) than the off-brand I used to have. That cable's head snapped off because it got torqued slightly in the back of my TV but with this Monster cable, that is virtually impossible to do. The ends are thick and well built I don't see them snapping.PROS: Great signal, sturdy construction, thicker/stiffer cable makes it easier to run through wallsCONS: Price, although $249 for this 25ft 1000series HDMI cable is cheap compared to Fry's ($399+tax) and othersNote: the 1000 series is near the top-end of Monster's lineup. You may not need this high a level and could get by (and save a ton of $$) by getting the 700 series.

The best thing I can say is that I haven't even thought about the cable since I installed it. The picture and sound are great quality, and I'm using it for an HD projector at quite a distance from the receiver. It works great

For the price of this cable I thought it should be a good investment but it turned out the opposite. I purchase this cable over a 100 dollars for my home theater because it has to run a long length from my video and audio equipment to my projector and I was having issues with a cheap cable that was causing the video and audio to skip often especially when I played content from my blu-ray player. Well this expensive cable did not work so I ended up returning it and purchase another monster cable from a different company, at a fraction of the price of this one and it worked perfectly. I am not saying Monster cables are bad, maybe I just got a bad unit. But I consider it too expensive and it did not work for me whereas the other cable did.

It's a sturdy cable but not worth the money. You can get the same quality for 95% less.

Get Audioquest, it makes a difference, these used to be top of the line...USED TO BE.

This is a 120 Hz refresh rate, not 240. You need to look at your TV set to match cable with the refresh rate of the TV. No doubt Monster is a good cable, and you pay for it. There is a big difference in quality of HDMI cables available.

Most websites and individuals will say to get any HDMI cable. That is not true. I bought a cheap one and the Monster Cable and you can tell a huge difference between the two. Without changing any settings on the TV, we plugged in both cables. The Monster Cable had more vibrant colors and better clairty. Highly Recommend to get this cable.
