As a Stanley Fat Max fan I always heard how good Estwing are, my father uses one every day and loves his. and I always respected them just they were not for me, but as my hammer was stolen at work, I decided to go and have a look to see if the Stilettos were worth it, have a look at the Vaughns and the Estwings, I picked this hammer up and knew it was the one for me, well built, good value and looks awesome (we all know if a tool looks cool, it operates 95% better :D ). Headed home got on amazon and snatched one, worth every penny!

I bought this hammer as I liked the look and weight of it and was open to paying more for a high quality product. The first one I bought arrived slight chipped and imperfect and the hammer head had a raised weld mark on it. Having checked the pictures of the hammer head on Amazon to confirm the weld mark was an imperfection I decided that although this is a hammer which will of course get beaten up over the years I would still expect a flawless product out of the box considering I was paying £50. I returned the product and was sent a replacement ...which turned up in exactly the same condition with minor paint chips and an imperfect head. This time around I just kept the hammer as I couldn't be bothered to go through the returns process again. Having used the hammer I can say it's great and I'm happy with it, but I would have expected a perfect product out of the box ...especially at this price.

couple of small chips in the paint nothing really the reality is im going to abuse the hell out of it at work so the small chips are going to get lots of friends and a respray once a year .
