Souber DBB 5 Minute Morticer JIG1 Door Lock Mortiser Kit 19mm 22mm 25mm

This will be my 2nd purchase... The first one is showing signs of wearing out,I have had it for over 10 years and being a carpenter it must of helped me fit hundreds of locks...well worth the money

I cannot believe that this absolute masterpiece of engineering beautifully made very very good quality. I cannot write this highly enough as a trained Locksmith it's absolutely amazing brilliant price beautifully made very effective absolutely 1000%. You have to get one of these if you Locksmith, they are brilliant, brilliant brill.

Not had much chance to fully use it yet I have cut a test Mortice and with a bit of practice I thing I will iron out any snags yet to see how much time it saves from using conventional methods On the whole I think it will be a very useful piece of equipment

This is the second one I’ve owned bought the first one around twenty Years ago great jig saves time and ease of use they are very robust and a great tool the price hasn’t changed that much in the last twenty years paid around £100.00for the first one I had and it served me well over the years Very pleased with jig

As a carpenter this just makes locking doors that bit more easier. Nice and easy to set up, easy to use and once you go nice and steady it will mortice out locks all day for you

Easy to use made a neat job on internal doors

I purchased this because I needed to fit a mortice lock into a new door and was shocked at the locksmith's quote to do this for me. The instructions are excellent and the fit of the new lock is snug as a glove! I really enjoyed using this tool which is very well designed and does a top quality job.

Besides new door morticing jobs, I had a door with glazed lights and a problematic (undersized) tubular latch. I wanted to install a larger diameter latch with deeper throw and needed to bore a precision depth hole nearly concentric to the existing 19mm hole, which is tricky without a center. The glazing was at risk and a booboo would cost me a new door. The Souber fixture allowed me to precisely bore the new 25mm hole with ease to install the latch and correctly center it on the 44mm door edge. Superb!
