Replacement switch for Master Fan
Works great, hat to file out a very small amount of metal to ensure a smooth fit. You don't want to be rough putting this in because you may damage plastic threads. The only down side is the white position line on the switch will not line up with the off, low, medium, high selections. It doesn't matter because it still selects the speeds you want, it just doesn't align with this fan. Most important part of this is the wires slide into the slots so there is no soldering required. Just use a small nail to push down on the copper to remove each wire from your old switch. Before you remove the wires write down the wiring color to the corresponding number on the switch. For the Master Fan it's Black wire to L port, red wire to port 3, white wire to port 2 and blue wire to port 1. I suspect this order applies to all 4 wire switches. So for my fan off is technically on the high fan speed selection and it then moves beyond that for additional speeds.

Perfect
I have a vintage 1980’s Patton high velocity fan and recently the original switch broke. Bought this and it is an EXACT replacement for the original. Same size and same terminal markings. I had it installed in about 10 minutes and it works perfectly.

How to wire this switch
Wire nut Neutral to Neutral togetherLine L Speed 3Knob White line down = offSpeed 1 Speed 2Numbers are marked on back of switch. "L" (Line) is power from cord on the narrow side of the plug. The wide side of plug is neutral. There is no neutral position on the switch, so you just use a connector or wire nut to tie the two neutral wires together and bypass the switch. Also you can go about 6-7 pages down and look at "Alex 4/10/2019" and see a better viewing with photos.

The knob won't fit in the fan.
It's not oem but it works in my box fan.

It works.
Switch on my ancient Hampton Bay shop fan was vibrating to off or lower speeds. Original (heavy duty)switch is probably over 40 years old. Only time will tell if this one holds up. Quality is OK for modern tech. Was easy to install.

Cheap Junk, Save Your Money
This is not worth your time or money. The wire holders a cheaply made just bent thin metal type of push connectors that do not hold the wires. Once the wire is inserted the thin metal stays bent and allows the wire to pull out. What it should do is keep trying to spring back to it position keep pressure on the wire to keep it from pulling out.Do waste your time or money.

It worked
I have a 25 year old fan I've been using in my warehouse for many years. Got this switch and it actually fits in the slot where the old switch housing sat. Follow instructions and advice of other reviews and it's easy to install. Don't use too big of a tool or paperclip to press down the tabs so you can push the wires in. I bent one too far, but managed to straighten it out.
