Chock Full of Interesting Explanations!
This book is appropriate reading for both children and adults who are curious about the world and why things are the way they are. Do you wonder about how we got our measures of time – hours, months, etc.? How about how holiday traditions came about – groundhog day and Valentine’s Day? Perhaps you want to know why we say “Hello” when answering the telephone, or why yawning is contagious. Or why a keyboard has those mixed-up letters? Here are 55 answers to questions you’ve always wondered about, and also some you’ve never even thought of!The book is written in an entertaining style and delves into some of nature’s and our culture’s deepest quirks. I highly recommend it!

So interesting for kids and adults alike!
This is a really great book. What makes it so great? Well, the illustrations, for one. The illustrations are very professional and unique. I also like that this is a full-size book. The subject matter is what really makes this book stand out. This book has so many facts that are interesting to adults as well. I enjoyed reading the section about the questions everyone would like answered but are too afraid to ask. I also think it's great that there is a section on technology. It's easy for kids to remember that there was a time that we didn't have the technologies they have grown so accustomed to.

Good family read aloud
We recently purchased this book and are reading aloud as a family. The information has been interesting so far. The reason I have taken off one star is for part of the content in Ch. 23 on “why do people wear wedding bands on their left 3rd finger?” The information was very interesting, but then when discussing why not everyone wears a ring on their finger, the author threw in “and some two-timing men will slide their wedding ring off their finger and into their pocket to let the patrons know that they are available.” This is labeled as a children’s book and this particular line was completely unnecessary in my opinion.

A fun interesting read…even for adults!
I bought this book for my eleven year old daughter who is always asking me questions like this book ask and answers. I looked the book over and ended up reading the whole thing in one setting. It is a fun read and is well researched. I really like the fun facts at the end of each answered questions. I learned a lot from this book. I never knew for example so many birds die a year from flying into windows and why birds keep pooping on my car window…a red car witch according to the author birds love to target. My daughter loved this book as well. Highly recommended for kids and adults.

Interesting book.
Interesting book for everyone. Some of the facts are gross like why boogers are salty or why does poop stick? But most of the facts are Interesting. The book says interesting facts for kids, but I think you are selling you short. I just think you have interesting facts for everyone.

In black and white
I expected it to be colored, the black and white pages with too much writing distracted younger kids from the valuable content

Great book for all ages including adults!
I absolutely love this book, and so does my 9yo. It’s easy to read, and well written in an informative but easy to understand way. Lots of fun facts that I didn’t even know as an adult! My 9yo loves bedtime with me reading this book as we both learn stuff together, even to the point where he’s remembering what he’s learnt in the book, and asking people if they know the reason why things are the way they are. It’s a good sized book (about A4 size) so the font is a good size, and easy to read. Buy it, you won’t regret it!!
