Very nice color.

Looks completely gray in the can and as it goes on, but once soaked in and the excess wiped off, the brown of the wood comes through to give it a warm, weathered look as shown on the can. The picture is my plywood before and after, nice result. However, when I tried it on an irregularly colored ugly piece of pine plywood, the stain couldn't do anything for it and it came out a horrible green tone, so don't expect a miracle.

...but in this case, it is warranted. This stain has been used to color several walnut rifle stocks and the color it adds is really unique. It gives the wood a dark color without the appearance of being too dark. While the color of the stain inside the can is grey, it develops into a nice semi-dark brown. Really pleased with this color and Minwax in general.

If you actually use this stain instead of just leaving a nasty review based on nothing more than looking at it in the can... you can see that once it's applied to wood, in my case pine, it looks just like weathered oak. It matches the picture on the can exactly. Almost like they know what they're doing over there at Minwax. It made my cheapo pine look great, 5 stars

Just like you get in the store. Mine was the weathered oak, It's a little lighter color (and more gray than I hoped), but looks nice if you do 2 coats.
