Bought the tado° Smart Radiator Thermostat 3-Pack as a Wi-Fi add-on for our multi-room heating setup, and it’s been a huge improvement. Installation was straightforward — once you’ve swapped the existing TRV bodies out (easy enough with the right tools), pairing with the app is quick and intuitive. The ability to control each radiator separately — and automate them based on schedules or open-window detection — actually makes a noticeable difference to comfort and energy usage. The app itself is genuinely useful. You can adjust temperatures from the sofa, the car, or mid-shopping trip if you suddenly remember you left the heating on. And yes — voice control via smart assistants works as expected without needing to shout into another room. Thermostat accuracy feels good, and room-by-room control means no more “keeps downstairs like the Sahara, upstairs like the Arctic” situations. We’ve installed a total of 10 tado° smart radiator thermostats throughout the house – including the bathrooms – and it’s honestly one of the best upgrades we’ve made. With a toddler and a baby in the house, being able to control the temperature in each room individually has been a massive help, especially during unpredictable UK weather. Installation was surprisingly easy. The app gave clear, step-by-step guidance and each valve only took about 10–15 minutes to fit. Once connected, the system worked seamlessly with our WiFi and Alexa. Now, we only heat the rooms we need, when we need them. For example, we keep the baby’s room warm in the evenings but don’t waste energy heating the spare room or hallway all day. The app is easy to use, and we’ve definitely noticed a drop in our heating bill since making the switch. We haven’t paid for the Auto-Assist subscription yet, and to be honest, it still does plenty without it. But we might give it a go next winter to see how much smarter it gets. If you’re looking to save on heating and gain more control room-by-room, I’d absolutely recommend this system.

This might be a lengthy review but hopefully will provide an insight into my less than successful experience. I took some time looking at reviews of various smart heating systems before deciding on Tado. I spent £420 on 1 smart radiator starter kit, 1 smart thermostat and 3 smart radiator valves after consulting with Tado on the best setup for my home and required usage. I retained the hot water control via my existing programmer so didn’t need the extension kit. The items are packaged in a style and branding not dissimilar to that of Apple and although are of a plastic finish seem reasonably robust The online registration and system installation was easy and intuitive, and having a technical background I found it straightforward. I set up three zones, a living room with the smart thermostat and two smart radiator valves as recommended by Tado, a family room with 2 smart radiator valves on both radiators and 1 bedroom with a smart radiator valve. I didn’t want to invest in any more kit until I was sure that it did what Tado said it would. Connection of the internet bridge and pairing of all the components was uncomplicated as was fitting the valves, only two needed the included adapters, (on Danfoss valves.) I set the system up initially on the web interface and then downloaded the Tado App on to my iPhone. Programming the zones for different times and temperatures was simple to do either via the web interface or on the app. So with everything programmed we woke up to a cold house the next morning. The boiler had only fired for a short period. The schedule was set to warm the bedroom and family rooms before the living room which isn’t used until afternoon. Manually starting the living room by increasing the set temperature above the actual recorded temperature then enabled the other zones to warm up in line with the set-point temperatures. Thinking this might have been a one-off I left it but it did the same the next day, cold house in the morning. So it appears that the zone with the smart room thermostat in must be calling for heat before any other zone even though their smart radiator valves are calling for heat. And this is where it all goes downhill with Tado support. I tried throughout the day to call but was unable to get through, just a recording that all agents are busy and to try later (or leave a message.) So I emailed asking for help, and got a response saying that they had made changes to my system (I have no idea what, they didn’t say – and I couldn’t see any changes) to prevent the boiler short firing and not reaching full temperature on first starting and to let them know if it didn’t work. It didn’t so I replied by email but heard no more. I tried ringing but just got the same recorded message. However, they sent me a satisfaction request in dealing with the problem even though they hadn’t and still haven’t fixed it – unbelievable. I now have a response saying they are still dealing with the request for help which will take a few days more. This is not good enough Tado – I’m a new customer with a zone configuration that you recommended and it doesn’t work. Once the system does decide to start up then generally it works fine during the day although there are noticeable variations in the room temperatures before the system turns on the heating again so you can feel the temperature drop and then increase, i.e it doesn't maintain a comfortable constant temperature. You also need to check the actual room temperature with a separate thermometer agains the Tado set point temperatures and then adjust the offset on which ever device is set to monitor the room temperature. I haven’t tried the Geolocation feature yet or the relationship with Apple Homekit as I’d just like to get it working. So in summary, installation set up, programming and control in principle, very good. Functionality not so good Problem resolution and support poor. Tado if you read this I’d like a resolution please (i.d. 426017) so I can return all the items to Amazon for a refund within 30 days if you can’t fix this for me. EDIT- UPDATE. Tado have now fixed the problem remotely. I have therefore revised my rating.

Great product and very simple to install as already had a wired thermostat. As it’s Matter compatible I’m using Apple HomeKit and can keep all my automations in one place as Tado has subscriptions and Apple can do all that free of charge. If you already have matter products you don’t need to buy Tado started kit you can just buy the thermostat

In 8 months, 3 have completely snapped where they screw onto the valve, amazon have replaced 2 via a partial refund, the third one is going to be collected soon. They are only a few months old - and there are plenty of other people saying the same, broken plastic. not reparable. Product itself is good when working, great functionality Amazon have been helpful, its not their fault that Tado X design is weak. Maybe its a bad batch - just be prepared to claim on the warrantees!

Seems very good and well made. Easy to instal - connection adapters even for m 50 year old manual thermostatic valves. Quite pricey when you need a few.. but guessing it should pay off over the long term and nice to have accurate and easy control so we do switch it off when rooms are not in use.

Fantástica solución de TADO para poder controlar de forma individual todos los radiadores de la casa ya que mediante una app y un equipo minúsculo conectado a un puerto ethernet del router, es posible controlar la temperatura de cada habitación de la casa. El único problema sería que el instalador desconozca la marca ya que los tutoriales son algo escuetos y, si no, se trataría de realizar una instalación de tipo ensayo-error, que al no representar ningún problema el desmontaje del cabezal termostático se hace sin problema. Una ventaja es que el cabezal incorpora 8 adaptadores para la unión entre el cabezal termostatico y la llave del radiador, por lo que es muy difícil que no se pueda hacer.

Rapporto qualità prezzo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Acquistate in offerta durante il black friday, qualità prezzo eccezionali Utilizzo ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Previo controllo sul sito tado della compatibilità del sistema con le valvole installate nella propria abitazione, la confezione contiene degli adattatori nel caso l'attacco non sia direttamente compatibile. Le volvole si installano facilmente anche se, a volte, si fa un pò fatica fissare il sistema di aggancio della valvola stessa alla base. Sono molto reattive ai comandi della app tado, in pochi secondi, dal comando ricevuto, attaccano o staccano la caldaia. Unica pecca, per chi ha i sifoni installati in delle nicchie, è possibile che in fase di riscaldamento la temperatura sia sovrastimata di 2-3 gradi. Purtroppo non c'è una soluzione se non acqusitare un ulteriore termostato wireless da installare in camera, in modo tale che sia lui a comandare la valvola. A quel punto la misurazione di temperatura e umidità nella stanza, sarà impeccabile. Considerazioni finali Un prodotto completo, ben costruito, qualche piccolo problema ma risolvibile, certo, spendendo altri soldi, ma assicuro che vale veramente la pena.

No ofrece nada excepcional. Es un termostato, y suerte que lo compré algo más económico que de lo que suele costar. Eso sí, con el iPhone enciendo y apago cuando quiero. Queda elegante en el comedor.

Die Installation der Thermostate war überraschend einfach und in wenigen Minuten erledigt. Die App ist übersichtlich aufgebaut und macht die Steuerung der einzelnen Räume wirklich komfortabel. Zeitpläne lassen sich flexibel einstellen, und man sieht sofort, wo Heizkosten eingespart werden können. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Einzelraumregelung und die automatische Anpassung an Abwesenheit oder offene Fenster. Das System reagiert zuverlässig und sorgt dafür, dass es immer genau dann warm ist, wenn man es braucht – und nicht unnötig Energie verbraucht. Die Verarbeitung wirkt hochwertig, die Verbindung läuft stabil und der Alltag wird spürbar erleichtert. Insgesamt ein sehr durchdachtes Smart-Home-Produkt, das Komfort und Effizienz sinnvoll kombiniert. Klare Empfehlung.
