Best hikers for the money
I bought these moabs after reading some random internet reviews of them. I bought them for deer hunting. I do a ton of walking/scouting for my style of hunting. These are the most comfortable boots I’ve worn for hunting. I can walk all over the place and my feet do not hurt. They have great support and they’re lightweight. As far as waterproof goes so far they have been. I have not submerged them and I try to avoid it but I have walked through morning dew and small creeks and my feet have stayed dry. I would assume just like any other boot they will eventually leak. Hopefully I can get a few years out of them before that. Once they do I’ll just buy another pair. Just keep an eye out on Amazon when they go on sale. Can’t beat the price.

Perfect for an entire day on the trail!
No complaints at all about this shoe! I knew that I needed some new trail shoes for my day on the South Rim Trail at Big Bend National Park. This trail is 12.6 miles with an elevation gain of 2800 feet. Earthtrekkers.com rates it as strenuous. These shoes were delivered to me in time for only a couple of shorter walks. Nonetheless, they gave wonderful, comfortable support on all parts of the trail, including on the extremely rocky Boot Canyon portion of the hike. I'll be buying more of these!

Comfortable and truly waterproof
They fit well, they're comfortable, and most surprisingly, they're truly waterproof. I've walked through many streams in these with water coming up to just below the tops of the boots, and my feet have always stayed completely dry. Great boots.

Great Shoes, Looking to Hike More With Them
Wore these boots on a few muddy hikes in the Adirondacks this past Autumn. Boots were comfortable on the hike and were fairly easy to clean afterwards. If you are hiking in colder weather, considering getting maybe half a size up as the shoe size is to foot.

Great hiking boots
Never had hiking boots before and been running and hiking in trail shoes. Started having ankle and arch issues with my feet so I broke down and bought these hiking boots. I've had these boots for several months now, been hiking about 5 miles a day and no issues whatsoever. Foot problems have healed and boots still going strong.

Not sure this is genuine Merrell
These boots fit great and the uppers wear very well. My issue is with the soles. Vibram is supposed to be a superior wear product and on these boots, it just isn’t. I have three pairs in different colors. The beluga color soles wore fine and after 2 years of FedEx delivering, which means hard use, they started to show wear - see pic. The Graphite and black pairs I got wore down to almost zero traction in less than a year each. So, either Merrell is turning out crap products all of a sudden or these are inferior Chinese clones. Whatever the case, no matter how much I love all the other aspects of these boots, they are not worth the cost if the soles can’t stand up any more. (And yes, I wear inserts to help reduce that wear for those questioning) The color on the Graphite model also faded to a tan and looks almost identical to the Beluga ones.

the boots were still comfortable. Notably
These boots fit perfectly right out of the box. The first time I used them was two weeks ago on a moderately strenuous hike in the Eastern Sierra, in the Little Lakes Valley. Twelve miles and perhaps a thousand or so vertical feet later, the boots were still comfortable. Notably, the waterproof aspect is excellent. A couple of creek crossings required hiking through running water, and not a drop got inside these boots. I could see the water roll right off the Merrells when I pulled them out of the creeks. I can't wait to hike in them again!

My feet are happy
Shoes were for my husbandColor and style great. Were comfortable right out of the box. He hard to fit feet so he tried on a pair of a similar style in a store. The shoes fit with hiking weight socks.
