perfect for model kits!
I got this masking fluid for the purpose of covering areas on models so it would make it easier to airbrush and not get paint where I didn't want it to go. Great for leaving areas clear of paint and for covering layers of paint (need to seal it first) to go back and paint the details without making a mess. I recommend using a silicon tool (like the clay ones) so you don't waste brushes. The container itself is high-quality and easy to store. The lid is secure and is airtight. The colour is pleasant to look at. The smell isn't bad and I only notice it is the bottle is right up to my nose so during use I don't notice it at all. Always best to work in a ventilated area when working with these kind of things. It is easy to clean up mess. It dries fast if the layers are very thin and it is easy to manipulate where it is going. This pot will go a long way.

Decent liquid mask, some positives and negatives
This has been useful to have around for when I'm doing more detailed painting, there are some positives and negatives so I'll cover those. On the positive, it's a great alternative to using masking tape when you are painting in to more awkward areas, dries pretty quickly and nothing gets through the mask once it's applied. It's quite easy to remove as well, I have been using a pair of tweezers with the rubber tip on the end and just rub the mask off that way. For a couple of negatives, I would prefer if the fluid was a little bit thicker, when I was using this to mask windows on a tank model the masking fluid seeped down the edges between the window and the tank body, once it was in that gap there was no getting it back out again but luckily it was quite thin and not too noticeable. On the same note of windows, I have noticed that the fluid doesn't take too well with the smoother surfaces and beads up on the surface, so you may need to go over the same area a few times to get proper coverage of masking. Those are the only negatives I really have for this at the moment, it will destroy the brush you use to apply the mask but this is to be expected so it isn't really a negative for the product, just don't use your best brushes. I went to the cheap £1 shops and just bought a couple of sets of their brushes to use for this mask, so once they are wrecked they can either be disposed of or used for other purposes so they aren't wasted. I have been removing the bristles and metal attachment and using the brushes to hold tank wheels on while I paint them for example. Overall though I would recommend the mask, it's good for most purposes but as I mentioned it can be a bit awkward to use on really smooth surfaces like windows and can seep if there is a gap between 2 parts, not an issue if they aren't clear parts but keep that it mind for windows.

Easy to apply and peel off when used.
This stuff is great, better than some others I have tried before. There are a number of ways to apply the product and I have used two so far, and no problems with it doing the job. It peels off easily too. This will be my choice for some time when this type of masking is required.

Fantastic stuff
Brilliant stuff. Easy to apply and very satisfying when peeling off after painting. Esther have this than using masking tape cutting it to fit etc. it is 2025 after all.

Hard to use
I thought this would be a great shortcut to try when masking off a model Spitfire mk1 for its early WWII Battle of Britain camouflage scheme. With model built and airbrushed dark earth, I waited a full 2 days before using the liquid mask as I wanted the first coats to be fully cured. Using the masking fluid was easy enough, but don't be tempted to use a decent quality brush - if you do, it will soon be destroyed beyond further use as this stuff turns it into a gummy mess that's almost impossible to remove. Instead, I used my silicone rubber tipped sculpting tools, which are ideal and the fluid just rubs off them. Once applied, it's easy to see when the product is dried as it changes in both colour and transparency. After reserving all the areas of dark earth with the fluid and allowing it to cure, I sprayed the model green. As soon as the green had dried it was time to remove the masking fluid before it had a chance to interact with the underlying brown. Wow, this stuff sticks like a sticky thing on a sticky day! Removing it from larger areas is not too bad but whenever it gets into a crevice like an aileron gap or similar, it's an absolute swine to pick off. Once I'd removed (nearly) all the fluid, the results were OK. Not good as hard masking, but definitely quicker. I won't be using it again though as it's no faster than using sausages of masking putty or blu tack and I don't think it works as well. Once opened and exposed, masking fluid tends to go off in the bottle, so if you don't use it often it might be unusable the next time you pick it up. I also use it to reserve white paper when watercolour painting, so at least the remainder it won't go to waste. Does what it’s supposed to do.
This is good stuff. Nice and fluid. Had annoying failures with a couple of other brands of masking fluid - but this seems to be decent. Easy to use with a brush. I also bought a masking pen to use with it too (not had one before) and it works great 😃. Fine lines - bosh - easy - cat whiskers sorted, highlights etc.. love it up to now. Using it with watercolours.

I was very skeptical of this product but found that it works great. It's a fantastic alternative to use in areas that are not practical to tape off. It applies easily with a brush or a toothpick, dries quickly and removes just as easily. I applied it in several places and had no paint bleed under it or paint peel when I removed it. It works and works well.

Cubre bien, y se elimina sin dejar restos. El color azul facilita su uso para niños, y el olor no es tan desagradable como el de otros productos similares a éste. Sin duda volveré a comprarlo

Top notch very good quality you expect from Vallejo. It works great to keep paint off parts of your 3D prints when you're trying to be precise. It rolls off nicely after you're finished with the area and doesn't negatively affect the paint you put it on. It is on the smaller size but a little goes a long way.
