Perfectly dry! In addition to the Diamond Candy 3-in-1 jacket, I bought these for our Alaskan cruise. Again, we were told it rains quite a bit and we would want to have "rain pants" with us. My first thought was that it was going to be like wearing plastic. Wrong! These are lightweight yet thick enough to keep out the water and breath. I like the toggles on the bottom for tightening the legs around your ankles/boots. This ensures you do not get water splashing up inside your pant legs. The leg openings are also plenty large it makes it easy to have your shoes on and slip the pants on over them. They worked really well. I made the mistake of going up a size thinking that I wanted flexibility of having my jeans on underneath, but I admit, I was swimming in them and should have gone with just a size L, which is my normal size. Most ladies seem to just wear leggings underneath but I was concerned with being cold, like I normally am, so I went with an XL to accommodate the jeans. I was very impressed that there are different inseam lengths. The toggles and velcro at the bottoms help with that, but it was nice to have something closer to my normal inseam rather than feeling like I was in clown pants. Solid black gave them a nicer look, too.

I bought these for work as a professional dog bather. Honestly i wasn't sure how well these would work but I was very shocked how great they ended up being. You only have the 2 front pockets and they're open so if anything is inside the items can still get wet from the top due to no flaps or zippers to keep them closed. I bought them not knowing my exact size and just used my normal jean size. I also enjoy high wasted pants so the fact that they had some extra room was not a problem especially with the draw string feature. The bottom of the pants may feel big but there are velcro straps that can help adjust the coverage. Inside has a fish net layer like men's swim shorts which is useful so I never felt like I was overheated. I was able to comfortably wear bike shorts under on hot days and not get too hot. For the price and what you get I do feel they work really well. They have lasted me great so far and wash instructions are very straight forward. The color hasn't faded and the pants do not come with that cheap odor which is a huge plus. They do look puffy so some may not find it flattering but I'm not going for flattery but to get my job done.

3.5 stars. Got 5 different cheap pants from Amazon to try for a hiking trip to Ireland. I wanted comfort, packability, waterproof, windproof, and easy to pull over boots in a sudden downpour with a phone pocket. Being in SoCal, I won’t use them much. I also didn’t want to rustle like I was wearing a Hefty bag while I walked. While I was happy the large worked right for me—pulled them on over sweats and they were perfect fit…these pants got extra points for the zipper and Velcro tab at the ankle, making them easy to pull on overmuddy Merrills on the trail without making a mess. But why couldn’t they have added sililar zippers to the two front pockets? Deducted a star+ for that…so close!! Only 2 pockets too. Pockets are not deep and will gap open when you sit, and I don’t want to be spilling chapstick or Kleenex or my phone! when I am on the trail. Returned them.

The other reviews suggested ordering up a size but that was a mistake for me. The XL was voluminous on me. I reordered in size L and they are a perfect fit, even when sitting. I was wearing leggings under these pants in this photo. I am 5'2" and the short length will be great with hiking boots. I haven't work them in the rain yet so no comment kn the waterproofness.

This pants saved me on my vacation to Iceland. It rained on us the whole time and these pants were able to keep my legs dry. Under these I wore my leggings, and I never got too hot but they also kept me warm. I would recommend sizing up on these so you can fit these over other pants. They rolled up to be pretty small in my suitcase. They also didn’t look too bag on me, they looked pretty good. I found them comfortable, though they were a bit tight on my thighs when I tried to put my leg up high. They decent sized pockets which were helpful. Highly recommend these if you are visiting somewhere that will be wet.

I am 5‘1“ and weigh about 110 pounds. I expected that a small wood fit. The waistband was very tight and the rest of the pants were baggy. They do fit well over tights or slim leg pants. Because of the fit on me, I regrettably returned the pants.

Kept me dry in Iceland and Scotland hiking in the rain. I wore them in case it rained and wasn’t to hot.
