Good product
Seems to work well, will leave the water yellow for a little bit but no problem will clear up. Plants seem to be doing better and looking greener. No copper so safe for shrimp also.

Perfect weekly top up for planted tank
Great for keeping my planted tank green and growing in conjunction with root tabs and proper substrate. Doesn’t harm the fish or shrimps and contributes to maintaining my little ecosystem! A little goes a long way (10ml once a week or when I do a water change) and the plants are happy. The lid doubles as a measure with 1, 5, 10, 15 ml marked on it The only negative is that the lid doesn’t work very well and leaks a little if left lying down.

I think it's actually working!
After trying a number of different aquarium plant fertilisers to no avail, I was surprised to finally find something which seems to actually work. I added 5ml of API leaf zone twice a week into my 87l aquarium. After 3 weeks I have noticed my Amazon sword plant looks much better! More green and growing new leaves. Other plants seem to respond positively too. I'm especially glad about the Amazon sword plant. Previously, the leaves were dissolving, full of holes and covered in brown diatoms. It's so much better now. I hope it improves even more over time. I like the leaf zone fertiliser has only iron and potassium in it and no nitrate. I tested the tap water and it is high in nitrate. Therefore, it seems my aquarium plants needed a fertiliser without any extra nitrate. Too much nitrate can cause problems, including growth of diatoms (brown algae). I also want to mention I have amano shrimps and panda cory fish and they seem to be unaffected by the fertiliser. I think API leaf zone is very good. Try a small bottle, it may do wonders to your plants. Hope it helps.

YES
I was so excited to put live plants in my tank for the first time and i was taking photos of before an after of my plants. .. except about a month later my plants looked exactly the same, no change. Everyone always raves on about their plants growing uncontrollably and how constant maintenance is a must. i did some research and this product was recommended a lot. I am both happy and sad to say my plants have also gone wild since using this (I now understand the struggle of maintaining a tidy planted tank) My hornwort needs cutting almost daily, that thing is ridiculous! My wisteria is also desperate to reach water level and i need to keep cutting it down, java ferns seem unphased and look the same but they have loads of babies sprouting at the tips? Java moss has also finally taken off after laying dormant for like 2 months. Anubias are showing new growth, and even the monte carlo is sprouting new leaves. Happy days!

Heavily planted aquariums only
I don't have many plants in my aquarium but thought I had better feed them anyway. Unfortunately after a short period of time I started to experience algae issues. I have discontinued use and have managed to get the algae outbreak under control. In conclusion for a heavily planted aquarium this is probably fine as I do rate API products. For my lightly planted aquarium I think I'll give it a miss, on the up side I've been using it to feed my potted plants and they seem to be doing okay on it.

I have two planted aquariums I set up almost a year ago. I've been using less than the recommended dose of this fertilizer. I have cherry shrimp, pygmy corys, snails (mystery, Japanese trapdoor, ramshorn, bladder) and a betta fish, and none of them have shown distress from the fertilizer, even though the betta will get right under the dropper while I'm adding it to his tank. I wasn't using it in his tank for a while, but the valisneria started to die, and when I started fertilizing again (weakly weekly) it quickly started looking green and healthy. Other plants I have that are doing well include: anubius, bucephalandra, various cryptocorynes, salvinia, ludwigia, water wysteria, rotala, pearlweed, hairgrass, java moss. Also, this bottle is LARGE, and is going to take me years to get through.
