Great!
Almost all the seeds germinated. Very slow to grow though so be patient.

Zero plants sprouted
I planted a variety of these seeds. I planted both in my aerogarden and in soil next to it so the grow lights were on the plants. I did not even have one sprout even after repeated attempts and multiple plantings. The other types of seeds I planted at the same time sprouted and thrived. These are a dud for me!

Good value and germination rate for me
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I planted these about 4 months ago and 110 out of 130 are growing strong, which I’m pretty happy with for the price. They’re too young to tell species yet, but they look like a decent mix of different varieties. I recommend if you’d like to try out growing cactus from seeds. These were easy to grow and care for. Value for money: Excellent Beauty: They’re baby cacti, of course they’re cute. Health: Healthy babies and easy care as far as seedlings go. Variety: Too young to truly tell the species, but I’ve got a blend of different shapes and characteristics growing. Quality: Excellent. For 5 bucks 110 out of 130 are growing strong. Most of the others at least sprouted but didn’t make it. Death rate: Good, like I said about 20 babies didn’t make it. Good enough for me considering price, quick amazon shipping, the different varieties growing, and ease of care.

Practice makes perfect, technique is important
On the first attempt I tried to treat them like any other plant. I got a few sprouts but wasnt satisfied. On the second go, I used a substrate that was about 80% sand and 20% coir. I put the substrate in two small bins, about 3/4 inch deep. In the bottom of the middle of each small bin I cut a whole about 1/2 inch in diameter then set both bins in a larger bin. Soaked the seeds for about 12 hours then used a pipette to place them all over the substrate, trying to avoid having stacks of seeds in one spot, but leaving them on top of the substrate. Then, I added water to the larger bin, allowing it to flow around and under the smaller bins, so that the water is sucked up into the substrate through the holes. On the first watering, I allowed it to nearly float the seeds, then subsequently added water to the larger bin only when the edge of the substrate looked like it was drying out. I have scores of little cacti now, including two new kinds that didnt come up on the first round. They sit under a powerful LED for 14hrs daily and are doing quite nicely. Am pleased with myself and the product, thanks yall !

Adorable Little Cacti
I love raising cacti and have some others I've raised from seed. I noticed not all species that I seeded germinated - so I took off one star. Mostly the same type has germinated. Will try again with a different soil type.

The Seed Needs Cactus & Succulent Seeds have been an absolute joy to grow in my garden. This special mix provides a beautiful array of species that adds a unique charm to my plant collection. With a generous pack of 130 seeds, I've been able to cultivate a diverse range of these fascinating plants. One of the standout features of these seeds is their high germination rate. I've been delighted with how many seeds have successfully sprouted into healthy seedlings. I attribute this to the high-quality, fresh seeds that Seed Needs provides in their packets. The variety of cacti and succulents I've been able to grow from this mix is impressive. From small, delicate succulents to more robust cacti, each plant has its own distinct look and character. This has added a wonderful element of variety and visual interest to my indoor and outdoor gardening spaces. I also appreciate the clear and detailed planting instructions provided. As someone who is relatively new to growing cacti and succulents from seed, these instructions have been incredibly helpful. They've guided me through the planting and care process, leading to a successful growing experience. Value for money is another area where Seed Needs excels. Given the high germination rate and the wide variety of species I've been able to cultivate, this double pack of 130 seeds has been well worth the investment.
